Re: Snow Leopard Gold Master
I'd love to get it, but I can't help feeling it would be a world of pain. M-Audio for one have a record of taking 6 months or more to update their drivers, so I can imagine happily installing 10.6 and then spending a weekend of misery before giving up and going back to 10.5 maybe it wouldn't be like...

clip view selection to follow edits in arrange
If working with a long audio in arrange it can be really frustrating when cutting into smaller clips because the selection doesn't show the location of the edit in clip view e.g. - if you use CMD+E to split the file, so that I can for example move the start marker in the new clip to change the timin...

Re: Forum for those teaching Abelton Live
http://www.ableton.com/certified-training there is already a certified trainers forum, but of course you need to be certified first (not certifiable ) ;-) Contact the guys about it, they won't bite! IMO if you are serious about teaching Live then you should definitely consider it - there are a lot o...

Re: Just installing Logic 9....
I might be saying some blasphemy here but I think Lives Session view is amazing but I think Lives arrange view compared to Logics is far inferior. But I mean Logic is about 10 years old than Live or so. I think the best way is as everyone said to compose in Live (which I do in the session view) mak...

Re: How du you use the "CUE" feature in Live?
What I'd like to know is basically how you guys go from cueing a clip to crossfading it into the mix. you seriously use the crossfader to mix ? 8O i really prefere the volume faders while mixing - mixing with volume faders lets you mix more precisely imho, but each to his own i use the cue the prev...

Re: How du you use the "CUE" feature in Live?
you can do it like that - but it's basically a replacement for the solo button and when it is pressed the audio on the track is sent straight to whichever of you soundcard outputs you have specified for the cue out so in other words, set your "cue out" (I/O view must be enabled) to "3...

Re: question about warping
complex pro was deliberately left out of defaults because it was considered too cpu intensive and people would end up running out of power and wondering why also, use it sparingly at the moment, it still has some teething problems (pops/clicks) as for warping - personally I find the new warping way ...

I liked this comment:
Maybe when everyone was listening to the "Sony" sample, the bit stream was being routed through network equipment with better mains cables.

Re: bypassing system F keys on OSX?
Press the fn key. sorry, I meant to say without doing that I prefer it with one hand, and as they are pre-mapped to the track mute, record, BTA, full screen and show/hide the detail view it seems a shame to have to use up other keys to get the same I guess maybe I was looking for some kind of utili...

One thing I miss from the PC is being able to use the F keys, in particular F9 and F10
does anyone know of a way of still being able to use them on the Mac?
