Re: Connecting a Synth..

From this post I'm guessing you have one of the Virus synths that DOESN'T have a keyboard otherwise you wouldn't also be using a sepearte MIDI controller keyboard. Which model Access Virus synth do you have? If so, does it have a USB connector on it? Alright when I get home tonight ill try what you ...

Re: Pitchbend, etc. only recorded in the CLIP not in Arangement?

OK, I just managed to record pitchbend in it's own lane in the arrangement view. This will only work with VSTs that expose their automatable parameters to Live. I used Sylenth to test this out. click Unfold Device Parameters (the black triangle) click the configure button that appears (it turns pink...

Re: The Best S.O for Ableton on Windows

Windows 7 64bit has been fine for most people. I'm assuming you have the 64bit version Have you noticed how you don't hear much about it? That's because most people don't have anything to complain about and you only hear about products when people are having trouble. If you had more than 4GB of ram ...

Re: What INSTRUMENT plays the sound on this clip? MkBass1?

The clips named MkBass1 seem to be made with an instrument named Jazzmaster.
You can find it in the Browser under Instruments/Instrument Rack/Piano and Keys/Custom Electric Pianos/Keys-Jazzmaster.adb
Jazzmaster is actually made by layering an Analog and a Electric together

That's a good sound. It's similar in concept to something from this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdeTc2chwZw

Re: no midi input with live 8 and windows 7 32bit

Could you post a screenshot of your Options/Preferences/MIDI Sync screen. There might be something obvious that someone else might be able to spot.

Win7 has something called Snipping Tool for taking screenshots if you haven't tried it yet.

Re: Sampling

It's all skinny white kids covered in black liquid latex to me, at least nowadays. Ha! That's the cheesy purely image based nature of it. In the 80's people where experimenting with new ways of making sounds and it fit into what people called industrial just fine. These days we just call it experim...

Re: Sampling

By the way, http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/ is a good place to look for stems. It can be fun to warp them and make your own mixes. I grew up with industrial music but it seems to have died when the US music industry demanded more guitars because purely electronic music just seemed too European. It was...

Re: viewing vst's for all tracks

Under Options/Preferences/Look And Feel you can set Multiple Plug-In Windows to ON and Auto-Hide Plug-In Windows to OFF . Hi, Just wondering if it's possible to view vst's GUI for all tracks at the same time instead of just each track when you select it? I'm trying to monitor a T-racks compressor on...

Pitchbend, etc. only recorded in the CLIP not in Arangement?

Is there any good reason why Pitchbend, Modulation, Channel Pressure etc.. ( Midi Ctrl stuff ) can only be recorded in CLIPS and not directly into Arrangement so you can see it in it's own lane? If I move a knob on my MIDI controller it gets recorded with the arrangement but I'd like to do this with...

Re: Creating Drum Kits & Moving Clips Between Project

I've found that Impulse doesn't get used much anymore. Drum racks are actually just a bunch of Simplers grouped into a special rack that gives you more control than an Impulse. BUT it doesn't have to be a Simpler. Each cell in a drum rack can contain any type of instrument. It just happens that if y...

On the little blue LCD screen of the MPK49 it says "Da'Rosa"?
Is this a new MPK49 or is it used?
