Re: Push & Ableton Live 9 Intro Licence
Just echoing what others are saying. I assumed I'd get a separate license for Intro with Push, which factored into my decision to pre-order. I intended to give Intro to a friend, who would likely have ended up purchasing a full version once she got hooked. Now she will probably end up buying neither...

Re: Hot-swap function - am I missing something ?
I noticed the same thing. In hot-swap mode, selecting presets just plays the normal preview tone. The big difference between hot-swap and normal browser function is that hot-swap preserves all the other devices on a track. Say you have a synth and a bunch of effects on a track. You're happy with the...

Re: specific, Keyboard controller questions...
The M-Audio keystation controllers are great bare-bones semi-weighted options. At the moment, Sweetwater claims to have a 49-key version, but I can't find in anywhere else (not even the M-Audio website). The 61-key version is still pretty compact, since the only additional controls are pitch and mod...

Re: LFO modulated parameter and Lives undo history
For somebody who just likes to use M4L devices from the library or other users, how do I address these unwanted events in my "undo" history? All this talk of live.remote is over my head. I can't recall the last time I typed a ~. You can edit them by yourself. Is there something I should r...

Animoog MIDI out - channel pressure
How do I map Animoog's "channel pressure" (y-axis of the keyboard) to a parameter in Live? I can get Live to record automation from "channel pressure", but it just shows up as "channel pressure." I can copy the automation to another parameter, but I would really like to...

Wow. I think I'd noticed that button before, but I never stopped to think about what it does. Thanks!Angstrom wrote:Its the same as it ever was.

Re: Select which clips fire on Scene Launch
A scene is defined as all of the clips in a row. If you want to something other than play all of the clips in a row, you're not talking about launching a scene. A few suggestions: 1. Just create more scenes that have clips in the various combinations you'll want to launch. 2. Use follow actions and ...

Please add option to restore note audition to Live 8 mode
I might get used to it, but so far I do not like the fact that I hear a note when I move it in Live 9. For software that calls itself "Live," this means you can't really write or drag notes in midi clips in a live setting, because the sounds being auditioned are played through the main out...

So if I have new versions of sessions drums, but projects that use patches from the old version, should I keep both versions installed?

Re: is ableton 9 coming out at midnight Berlin time?
As long as they release it by 11:59PM in the last time zone, it's not technically late. I sure was hoping for midnight in Berlin, though.

I just keep my monitors off at all times to be safe and save energy.

Re: Mac vs PC
I switched to Mac last year when my job got me a new laptop. IMO, the biggest difference is physical . The Macbook is rock solid, and its keyboard and trackpad are perfect. Every windows laptop I've owned feels like a flimsy plastic box with a bunch of empty space inside. I've never used a trackpad ...
