A shortcut for "go back to the beginning of the arrangement"
I realize you can double click the stop button but that's a mouse move for the transport which is a fiddle.

Loop mode for clips even if warping is turned off
I mainly don't use warping so it's a faff to have to enable warp and warp at some default tempo each time I want to activate loop mode. Also once warp is enabled I can't drag the start point except to the points designated by the warp results which means turning warp off and on all the time. It woul...

Re: Shortcut for Activate/Deactivate clip(s)
Mute and unmute is a frequently used function. I have tried to get a shortcut to work via the apple prefs but it's flakey because the menu item changes it's name depending on the state of the highlighted clip. Anyone got this to work? I know about the right click option but it's clumsy.

Shortcut for Activate/Deactivate clip(s)
Hi Technical question I'd love a reliable keyboard shortcut for "Activate/Deactivate Clip" but it only works if I do another shortcut in the edit menu just prior. Or sometimes it works without this but only intermittantly. Maybe it's something to do with the actual shortcut displayed in th...

Calling up operator presets via program change messages?
I'd like to be able to call up operator presets via program change. Can Live do this? Clips can have program change messages in their envelopes but can these address presets? If not is there any other way of having clips open up presets? Then I could make a grid of patches rather than the bog standa...

Mackie Hui:Can it address the selected instance of operator?
I have a Mackie Hui controller. I'd like to use it to control whichever operator synth is on the screen or selected or whatever. Is this possible? It doesn't seem to be in the list of controllers in the midi preferences either.

Dragging back to reveal start of file after punch in
Hi Live 7 questions: It's a feature I've got used to in other software: the ability to punch in to record from play and drag the start of a "region" back. Is there a way of dropping into record from play in the same way in Live? It would be great especially given that you can arm an audio ...

Subgroups are ok but its odd that a program that is so immediate in other ways leaves this out but in Logic you can turn this on in a preference. The solo in Ableton allows you to solo the track even if it's turned off which enables you to cut to a muted track in one click - nice feature especially ...

you had ideas that are purely based around the length of a clip but were too lazy to read the clip length and type it into the follow action length? Yep. Bar/beats/sixteenths don't accurately convert to seconds/ms unless the arrangement is built to the tempo grid. I'm not using warp functions or tr...
