Re: It's 2015... any luck with Live on touchscreens?

I have been researching a way to have Ableton on the go and it looks like the Surface 3 will run Ableton ok as long as you dont try and run a bunch of plugins and tracks. Coupled with the Pen that MS has it seems to work fairly well. Also, there is a program called Emulator Pro that will sit on top ...

Re: Ableton Live has become an unreliable mess.

I can also confirm the instability of Ableton, and I'm on Windows 7 64 bit, which is running on a custom built ADK laptop. I have never used a more buggy piece of software in the 15+ years of my computing experience. I still have not contacted support as I will be switching to Windows 10 when it lau...

Re: Live 9.2 wish list (I know this soon?)

This would probably be for 10, but how about adding some macro commands for adding machines/effects. Or maybe add strip up top by the transport controls to add your most used/favorite machines/effects. It gets tiresome having to scroll through the menus just to grab an EQ Eight or Utility. I would a...

Re: Ableton Live 10

Open the API for ALS files to allow third party programs to offer ALS export files similar to how Gadget does it. We could then use other programs on any platform, mobile or otherwise for importing into Ableton. A simpler way to convert a fully layered midi drum set into individual audio tracks woul...

Re: Does Ableton not care about Windows users?

The ADK laptop had all of the specs I wanted, I got to keep the optical drive, backlit keys, 17" screen, full support, warranty and with the Presonus Audiobox came to about $2500 out the door. It also came factory overclocked to 3.8ghz, custom Bios for low latency, Paragon backup software, and...

Re: Does Ableton not care about Windows users?

Warning Rant Alert! I have sent over a dozen crash reports since its release with none of these issues being fixed. Remember crash reports do not elicit Ableton Support. You need a Status report: (Help--> Get Support --> make Status report --> email to Support @ Ableton) They are usually very helpf...

Re: Does Ableton not care about Windows users?

I always thought companies as ADK are a rip off, kind of the Apple bussiness model adapted to windows. In what way? ADK builds custom PCs based on a user's specific needs out of components they have tested that are known to work well together. Apple does that? Not being dicky, I just don't see the ...

Re: Does Ableton not care about Windows users?

Warning Rant Alert!… [RANT] If Ableton favors OSX than they just should NOT sell on Windows at all! To me it doesn't sound like as if you haven't done the research you need to do when making music on Windows. This info is what one could expect from someone actually wanting to fix their probl...

Re: Does Ableton not care about Windows users?

Thanks for chiming in everyone- To the Apple fans- Windows 7 is a solid platform. Live 9 is the ONLY software out of a myriad of other programs I use that has these issues. It is clearly an Ableton or Max issue, its not the OS. No I will not switch to Apple because they are better blah blah blah! I ...

Does Ableton not care about Windows users?

Warning Rant Alert! Since the release of 9 I have had constant issues with crashes, the "not responding" always comes on when adding new intruments and Max 4 live sucks up ram like you wouldnt believe. I'm running a high end ADK laptop with good specs on Win 7 Pro. I rarely get the chance ...

Live 9 browser issues (windows)

Any other windows users having problems with the 9's new browser? I cant get it to do or find anything. I told it in preferences where all of my samples/live 8 library are and even tried adding a folder in PLACES with no luck. I can add the folder but when I click it nothing happens. I am using an S...
