is Live's vocal recording sound as good as the other sequencers such as Soanr, Logic. Like if I was to get someone to sing, is it possible with Live and if it is... is it as good as any other software? The reason I ask because everyone keeps saying how Live is such a loop based software... but neve...

Live5 midi control question
Hi Everyone, I am using a fcb1010 to control LIve5, and for some reason I can't get assigned midi notes to activate things like channel on/off or vst fx on/off. There's no problem triggering clips....strange, like what's the diff? If I open up LIve4 and try it, it works, no problem.. Is there a majo...

Hi Peanut, Welcome to the forum. Live doesn´t do surround panning AFAIK. I have used it to do surround in theatre - on it´s own without true surround panning by sending 4 outs to a mixer (plus another output to the sub bass) - or by rewiring to Cubase SX, which does have a real surround panner. Mayb...

[/b] Jim, why don't you just download the Live 5 demo, if you only want to evaluate the application? It isn't such a...

Hi Everyone, I have used the same FW410 with an AMD athlon desktop, a generic PC laptop (4 pin fw cable), a Toshiba laptop (pcmcia FW card) and a G4 powerbook with no major problems at all. Am I just lucky, or what? Yes, the mixer app IS a bit wierd at times, tho. Sorry for the guys having problems,...

My 2 cents worth: keep the monitors away from the wall as much as is possible - not an easy thing if you are in a small space - I also have this problem these days. I noticed that in most of the pictures of peoples setups elsewhere on the forum that most of us have monitors way too close to the wall...
