I also bought the analog vids after recommendation, and they are quite thorough; however, I haven't watched them all, because I kind of forgot about them.
I'm just curious, what was your favorite thing you learned, or what was one of the things you came away with most solid?

Re: why does a sudden silence produce noise?
Thanks for replying. I understand DC offset, but never put this into that context, besides just knowing 'that's what happens'

Re: wtf bitwig? - full review
I agree with your comments on stability, but not everyone uses music applications professionally. It has it's places, especially in the music/pc hobbyist niche. That said, $400 for Bitwig puts it well above hobbyist. Ever since buying a real, solid computer, and being able to afford software, it has...

Re: Syncing Ableton And Traktor To The 1st Beat Of Bar
Whenever I've done that, I've always set my global quantize in Live to be 1/4 notes instead of 1 bar. You have to be more attentive of when you trigger clips, but then it doesn't matter whether it's on the 1/2/3/4.
Good luck!

Re: BitWig Studio bought - check out the video
I have mixed feelings about that demo model actually. They both have merit. I was jamming in Bitwig this morning, and while my little jam wasn't that good, I was a little disappointed that if somehow I did pop out a masterpiece during the demo, I wouldn't be able to save it and continue even if I bo...

Re: Ableton live 9 concept help
Well, triggering a scene still fires off follow actions. It might not be ideal for every situation, as you pointed out, but certainly it's pretty workable. You are right hat it's not hitting tempo changes, and time signature changes, but those requirements weren't brought up in the original question...

Re: BitWig Studio bought - check out the video
That's not true. In fact, bitwig (by the people, not the company) has been the most overhyped thing I can remember seeing in roughly 9 years of being into this stuff. Not that that is horrible or anything, but there are MANY people who think this is going to be the live "killa" Man, this ...

Re: How do I add vocal samples to ableton live 9 as "one shot"
If you want one-shot style vocals, just drop the vocal shots into a drum rack. Play them as sampler devices. After it's in the drum rack, you can adjust the start point of your sample --- then just play it.

Re: Ableton live 9 concept help
Yes, all of those things you mentioned are actually quite easy. Have you looked at Follow Actions yet? https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/launching-clips/ Starting at Section 13.6 If you're still lost in the sauce, let's break it down a little bit, and sort each piece. Repost with exactly what you wa...

Re: BitWig Studio bought - check out the video
Color me unimpressed. For such a 'superior' daw it honestly looks like Fruity Loops combined with Live. Meh, aside from the rabid crazies, I'm not sure anyone is going on about it being a superior daw. Yes, there are the rabid crazies. I don't deny that. But surely you don't take them seriously? I ...
