Question: Why would I want to assign midi note numbers to Live? Don't I basically want program change numbers? If what I want to do is change scenes . . . I'm just trying to get the hang. I'm not playing this from a keyboard controller where I will be hitting notes. Since I'm a complete novice help ...

OK, I downloaded Plogue Bidule. We'll see in th enext couple of days if I can get up to speed with what it is. So I take it that midi notes are needed for controller changes in Live? The Mitigator does all the controller changes apparently. I don't see note numbers. OK, I guess I'll have to go back ...

Midi Foot Controllers??
Anyone use midi foot controllers? Tips and hints as to their use? I have an ancient "Midi Mitigator RFC-1" foot controller. I'm hoping this'll work. I think I need just to change scenes. Maybe some clips but as far as I can see advancing and going back to scenes. I'm still trying to figure...

Nobody's gonna throw me a rope? I thought maybe the last several clips were of different lengths and that was causing Live to warp the clips, so I rebounced them verifying they were the same. Not sure that would have made any difference but it didn't. Maybe some one could show me where this is indic...

Tempo goes wild on final scene
This has got to be an easy one. Newbie complete. Trying for my first song, dropped in from DP 4.52 sequence (audio). I have the scenes together for 4 basic sections of the tune. Every time I hit the final scene the tempo goes haywire. Somebody throw me a bone, please. There's got to be something bas...

Thanks! That's a clue. I still don't get it. I just discovered it works with rewire. So I'm kinda slow. I exported a bunch of soundfiles from DP to AIFF. I still can't open it. RTFM time. So since it works in rewire maybe it'd be best to work that with DP/Live and then somehow transfer the soundfile...

Opening a song done in DP - How??
Total newbie here. I've had Live for about a year and haven't done anything but open it. I have PLANS to though! I'm intimidated. Here's what I want to do. Maybe some one can help. I have songs I want to perform with my band. I have files written in DP 4.52. I've been recording the midi into audio -...

Live icon won't go in Dock
OK I just upgraded to 4.04. I still have yet to use or get into Live at all, but still I'm very excited. For some reason, after I trashed my Live 3.0 icon from the Dock the new one won't go there. This is n an ancient Dual 450 machine with 10.2.8 Mac OSX. My other mac, 1 gz Alum Powerbook G4 10.3.7 ...

Thank you. I appreciate the answer. Dang. So I guess I'll sequence in DP, record clips and drop them into Live until I can get the update. Is that what folks did? Or control the seq from Live. I'm talking about with my band live using Live of course. The idea of having both DP 4.52 open and Live 3 a...

OK, but was that an answer to my question or just you telling me to get Live 4? If you could answer my question I'd greatly appreciate it. :D I've been nickled and dimed to death recently over updates. I can't afford it at the moment. But are you saying that Live 4 does this and versions before it d...
