Re: Ableton Live 8 Running horribly slow on Mac Pro 8 Core
i've just noticed that live 8.1.3 runs really slow on my brand new macbook pro 10.6.4. doing some tests i noticed that it runs much slower when the nvidia display card is in use vs the intel one. i hadn't noticed before because i had forced the display to always use intel. but the problem is that yo...

Re: export audio group tracks
sweet. i'm glad i know how to use the search feature. i would like to add that a groups-only export option would be handy for me too. and while you're at it - perhaps an option to render the return channels in the same file as the source track. or something that would solve the problem where i'm try...

Re: cannot be deleted - anything and everything
thanks to nico starke who helped me figure out the problem: Path Finder (by cocoatech).
anyone who is running Path Finder and sets it up to quit Finder when it loads will experience this problem in Live, as it seems to require Finder to be running to delete from the file browser.

Re: cannot be deleted - anything and everything
BAH!
i just reformatted and upgraded to leopard fully expecting this to disappear. STILL HAPPENS.
sorry for shouting, i'm just surprised and annoyed. i tried chmodding to 777 recursive on my ableton dir and it still can't delete from within it. crap.
i'm running 7.0.15 now

thanks for the reply.
i checked the log and i couldn't find anything useful. just the same message that i get "cannot be deleted."
however, there sure are a lot of exceptions in there. perhaps you know what's going on.

Isn't this song in a shitty 4/4 like you said? is it? i'm not talking about the time signature. sheesh. if they recorded the song to a click track that has an exact constant tempo then it would be an easy warp but bands generally don't do that. how about 70s funk tracks? i have yet to encoun...

for all you djs who say it only takes 30 seconds to warp a track - well i guess you're all shitty house / trance / dj friendly music djs who've never tried to warp any kind of track that isn't already tempo locked. and i find that sad. for those of you who see the potential of this (ie finding the ....

good to know that i'm not the only one with this problem. discovered it a few months back and realized that i cannot reliably use an aggregate device for live else it just halts output at some random time. happened several times mid-performance, unfortunately, until i was able to figure out what the...
