Re: Turntable n00b/Shure M447h

DjTechTools forum don't those guys just do 'digital' djing? :? don't these guys just do ableton and other daws and software sometimes for djing? Yep! But digital djing excludes analog decks, while ableton users utilize any number of external instruments, including turntables! I know there are some ...

Turntable n00b/Shure M447h

I'm completely new to turntablism and I just bought a usedTec 12 and an M44 cartridge. When I was setting everything up I dropped the needle on the platter and slipmat several times and when I got everything going, there were no problems whatsoever. But now the needle makes a loud buzzing noise when...

Re: Apogee One input not working in 8.2

This is really starting to frustrate me. I went back to 8.1.3 to use my One, and now I can't create new audio clips in either version. MIDI clips are fine, just audio. And this never happened without the One.

Re: Is there a way to have two MIDI maps in one project?

I've really been wanting a multiple midi map feature as well. I would love to be able to control the parameters of a synth/rack on my midi keyboard and use Hanz Petrov's scripts on my APC, but because Ableton reads the midi input from knobs on my keyboard as the same as the ones on the APC, reassign...

Look at it as a fancy external sound card, with knobs on!

Re: USB Turntable

I'd rather not spend money on a mixer It needn't be expensive. Numark M1 = £75 for example. is a mixer really the way to go? Yes, because it will provide the necessary RIAA preamp for the turntable. Good point..In this case would I need an audio interface to run the mixer into or would a usb mixer ...

Re: USB Turntable

Great info guys, thanks a lot. I'd rather not spend money on a mixer as I use my APC40 to control my live sets and would prefer to keep my setup as simple as possible. I'm not really into traditional djing so i wouldn't have too much use for the eq pots either. With the Technics would it be possible...

I was recently given a cheap USB turntable as a gift, and I was planning on exchanging it for one of these guys: http://www.google.com/search?aq=f&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=STANTON+T.55+USB+TURNTABLE Would this be a good choice for an intermediate producer looking to get into more advan...
