Re: What's the difference between a good and a great producer?

Do the math: (good producer) - (great producer) = (good - great) * producer = (ood - reat) * (g producer) Too many variables to go any further... ood = Object Oriented Design reat = a teenage kid you want to strangle g = homie (ood - reat) = mature C++ code g * producer = hip hop producer (mature C...

Do the math:

(good producer) - (great producer) =

(good - great) * producer =

(ood - reat) * (g producer)

Too many variables to go any further...

Re: Beat The Clock

I don't mean to sound petty, and I know that I don't have any chance at winning, I do it just for the fun. The contest says that creativity and knock-their-socks-off entries are what they are looking for, but the final entries will be chosen from the top 25 popular choices. To me that means 4-4 danc...

Re: Beat The Clock

Does anyone else think the way we have to vote is pretty absurd? There's no way to view the submissions in any way but for the hard-coded order, is there? Maybe I'm missing something, but a sort by genre or name or title or ... anything... would be nice. There's already a thousand entries and about ...

Re: One Year of MAX for Live

I have found that I spend a very large part of my Reaktor building time spent in debugging. It sounds like Max is easier to debug.

One Year of MAX for Live

For those of you who have been programming Max for this past year or so: How do you find it? After a year of working on Reaktor, (for example), I felt pretty comfortable and could do mostly what I wanted, or could at least figure out what I needed to know to proceed. When I saw Max I thought it woul...

Google Play

Today Google introduced Google Play. It allows you (among other things) to upload your music library (up to 20,000 songs) free onto the cloud somewhere in Google's storage. Then you can listen to them anywhere you get web access. I'm trying it out now and uploading my library. So far a bunch of thin...

Re: Ableton Stylee Xmas Remix 2011 (Yeah baby!)

New Year's peace: A cool, icy fragment to help slow down global warming. This is dedicated to Urs, the one most likely to influence the sale of Intel processors in 2012. It uses only Diva as the sound source, plus the same two MIDI tracks as the others, just different automation curves. http://www.a...

Re: Ableton Stylee Xmas Remix 2012 (First Submission Already!)

did you just use the audio file and manipulate? I didn;t really mess with the midi myself, but had a blast doing this. any special vst's you used to get that sound? I think what i did is pretty obvious, but yours is a little deceptive to me. I just used two MIDI tracks from the sample provided, the...
