Actually, I recreated the landmark minimalist work, In C by Terry Riley, in Ableton Live. It's almost perfect, but there's some human elements Live just can't reproduce (which isn't necessarily bad!) I'm gonna post an (hour-long) mp3 as soon as I get the chance to mix it down... awesome! lets hear ...

This probably sounds pretty simple compared to what you'll get from the actual Live brainiacs around here, but I like to use it to somewhat randomize a drum track. I'll create one MIDI clip driving an Impulse kit, then I'll CTRL-D copy that booger several times, so I've got say 5-6 identical, adjac...

uh, hmm.. grab the recorded clip with the mouse, hit TAB to switch to arrangement view and drop the clip on the timeline? does that work?

AARHRHHHRHHHHHHRGH AHHHHH uhhhhhHHHMMM ARRRRGHHGHGHH!!!!! :x that's pretty much my experience. akai can suck it. they ripped off roger linn back in the day (shame on them) and now they make shit products and dont provide usable drivers or firmware until waaaay after they get their chubby greedy litt...
