Re: Different midi mapping for each track?
Use SelectedTrackControl, a script for live that maps your controller to the currently selected track, among other things. It is a must have. http://stc.wiffbi.com/ Thread here https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?p=1257042#p1257042 OK, I have fallen at the first hurdle! As reticent as I am to a...

Re: Confidence
Good article, thanks. It's a realisation that has taken me about 4 years to get to! One trap I had fallen into was not being prepared to put anything less than excellent tracks "out there". As I'm a relative newbie (dipping in and out over 4 years) I never put any tracks out (because they ...

Different midi mapping for each track?
I have set up a track with exactly the midi mapping I want. When I switch tracks the midi mapping still controls just the track that I set up. Is it possible to get the midi mapping to change track by track depending on which track I have selected?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: What's your doing/learning ratio?
when i recognize that i could not get into the creative flow i start to learn, make templates and stuff like that. everybody knows hours/days/weeks/months where it just doesn`t flow. 2 years ago i had a time where i did no music for almost a year, but i used this whole time for learning, optimizing...

What's your doing/learning ratio?
Having played around casually with Live for many years I realised that to make any significant progress I need to do a lot more formal learning. For example, reading the manual, working through tutorial videos, ear training, deconstructing tunes I like, etc, etc. all of those things are exercises, r...

Controlling percieved volume when opening low pass filter
Let's say I have a sound - kind of acid-y - that's currently acting as bass because I have a low pass filter on it. If I slowly open that filter to allow higher frequencies through it sounds a lot louder (presumably this is because of the Fletcher-Munson curve?). What's the method for leveling the p...

Re: Copyright?? Sampling From Speeches/Spoken word
I recently pulled a section of the 'I have a dream' speech from a forthcoming release. We used a 7 second sample, that was reduced to 2 seconds in the radio edit. This was the reply we got from Mr kings estate. "Your request for inclusion of the MLK audio sample to be included in the musical c...

Re: Novation Remote SL 49 MK II opinions?
I have the 61. My main complaint is that the resolution of the knobs is not 1:1 with what you see on the screen (i.e. One complete revolution of a knob on the 61 equals only one third of a revolution on screen). To me, this makes it useless for real time tweaking like you might wish to do with a 303...
