I felt the same way. I had to give it a couple shots before I could sit through a season. it's definitely subtle.

i've gone from 100% in the box, to using mostly hardware synths/drum machines which i process etc. in LIVE.
i'm always tweaking, but this new set up is feeling really comfortable. i think i've been more productive this year, than i have over the last 5 or 6.
