Re: [OT] Alcoholism. Willing to share your problem?
OP - did you post this with a hangover? Oh I'm hungover from last night. No mistake! Nope. On the way home from watching the footy (footie?) after a 3 lg glasses of wine, I was deciding whether to buy a bottle of wine with my last remaining £5.00 to go with the almost finished one in the fridge. I ...

[OT] On a lighter note......to my going down the pan!
Anyone else going to see Depeche Mode at the 02, London later this Month? Or anywhere else in the world for that matter?! Loads of clips of the Luxembourg 'warm up' gig knocking about on you tube. Looks and sounds potentially brilliant in my opinion. Strange Love indeed... http://www.youtube.com/wat...

Re: [OT] Alcoholism. Willing to share your problem?
I'm not affecting anyone but myself. No one is suffering except me All I can say the above is never the case. And thinking that is one of the safe havens for the true alcoholics (can't make judgement if this applies to you sir) Seek help, it can't hurt- Yeah. I'm kind of realising that. It's a bit ...

Hmmmm. touching words.Rave wrote:Don't worry too much about it. You sound like one of the many thousands of British binge drinkers. Start worrying when you want a drink in the morning, getting done repeatably for drink driving and your hitting the hard stuff.

[OT] Alcoholism. Willing to share your problem?
I don't know if I'm an alcoholic or not but I suspect I am. I can go days without a drink but as soon as I have one, I want to see it through to it's 'natural' conclusion. Although sometimes I have a couple and then just stop. I'm also aware that I'm doing it. It's weird. Like I know it's wrong but ...

Re: Depeche Mode-Sounds of the Universe
The only one I can think of that doesn't suit his voice is 'little soul'. I personally think it would sound better with just Martin Gore singing it.

Mine is a character in a book called Florida Roadkill by Tim Dorsey. Always liked the character so I half inched the name.

I also posted this a while ago. It seems no one shares the same view as no one commented on it.
I agree with you though, it's such a great version. Simple backing and well delivered vocals.

Re: Got a Roland D-110 rackmount synth...
What do you want from it?
I don't mean this in a nasty way. I'm just asking.
Maybe Just learn to programme it. That what you have to do with every synth you buy, no?

Man, I cut my teeth on one of these!
Can't help you on the editor but feel you should try and get a manual from Roland. It is possible to get some good sounds from it.
Work at it and it will start to deliver.

This line up is awesome!
Depeche headlining at Glatonbury (in the UK) would never happen!

Re: Depeche Mode-Sounds of the Universe
Peace has taken ages to get to me. I couldn't stand it when I first heard it. I was listening to the album on the train to work this morning and It really hit the spot.
My faves so far are
In Chains
Corrupt
Perfect
Wrong
Comeback (although I prefer the live studio version)
