Re: does such a controller exist?

Kore 2 is what you're looking for. It only works on windows however, or old osx versions, on the latest one the controller driver is problematic. I use Live mainly because I feel it's overall the best host for Kore, but I wish it didn't record plugin automation at such a shittily low resolution - wh...

Re: question about track timing offsets

hmm I see. yeah I put almost all my plugins inside Kore 2 including my master chain. NI's retarded bean counters put an end to the kore project before the devs could finish it, so it has no latency reporting whatsoever haha. well, I deal with it alright. but ya from what you're saying, as envelopes ...

question about track timing offsets

right, so let's say I have a vst effect on my master channel. this vst effect is able to host other vst plugins, however, it does not report the latency of these plugins to Live (stays at zero). does it change anything in the end whether or not I offset the master channel in the negative to compensa...

control surface position indicators please

I mean, seriously. there exists only one way to see where your control surface is in Live: the rectangle in the session view. if you're in arrangement view, you're blind, and also if your control surface isn't a matrix and doesn't have a rectangle, i.e. every damn mackie control based surface out th...

Re: Plugin knobs not working in Mackie mode

Well. Good news. I found out in Live 7's manual, yes Live 7, how mackie mode works with devices. After pressing the plugin button you have to PRESS an encoder to select a device before you can control it, as it doesn't automatically map to the selected one! Hah!

Plugin knobs not working in Mackie mode

HI. I don't get it. So, with mackie control, you set your encoder knobs to Pan, IO, Sends, and Plugin control, right... well here it all works fine and dandy except the Plugin mode. Unlike the others, I only see the MIDI In light up in the control bar when I turn the knobs, no MIDI Out, and nothing ...

Re: Returning to start of song from keyboard?

to be fair, Home is a really poor shortcut for something like rewind. you have to move your hand away from either wasd or the mouse. you won't tend to use it while using the arrow keys.
I'd suggest autohotkey-ing it to W, Sonar style.

Re: Looking for the old Kore midi templates for Live

Yeah it has been requested in the thread where all the midi templates were posted, didn't have any luck there.

Chances are I'll have to make another, so any information as to how MCU is implemented in Live would be welcome, so far I haven't found much on that.

Looking for the old Kore midi templates for Live

Good evening to all. Happy to be a new part of the Live hive-mind. There were, in ancient times, some good Mackie Control based templates for Live posted in the NI Kore forum. Unfortunately, all old attachments over there are dead. These templates got many downloads before they were taken down so wi...
