Hold on there. Am I to understand that if I drag a clip from a track with effects on it into the browser, then the clip that I've made in the browser now contains track fx info which will be propagated into any empty track I drag it out to from the browser, say, in a new set??
I gotta try this.

Multi-Track Simultaneous Freeze, Pleeze
When I need to, say, Cut Time out of a song with a bunch of tracks in it which are Frozen for listenability's sake, I have to Unfreeze all those tracks, which doesn't really bug me because it's quick. But then, in order to be able to listen to the song again once I've made the edit, I have to re-fre...

I am so with you. This is really important. I actually just posted a new topic titled Please Let Me Keep My Stop Button When The CPU Overloads in this same Feature Wishlist forum. I consider rectification of this issue to be more important than any upgrade since it compromises system stability. It c...

Please Let Me Keep My Stop Button When The CPU Overloads
I'm excited enough about the list of new features in 6 that I'm going to need to upgrade the moment it's available just so I can cut down on all the dangerous excess moisture which collects in my studio environment due to my constant giggling and drooling. Video import! Deep-Freeze! Hee hee! BUT... ...

Wow, people around here are really quick with the replies. Thanks! Are they up to 5.3 now? I'm using 5.2. I just figured something out - you can make the orange dot go away by setting your clip's quantize setting to Bar (I found some official Orange Dot reading material and amongst all the confusion...

Clip View Scrub Area - Aaaagh! Orange Dot Killing Me!!
How on earth do I make this little orange dot in the scrub area of my clip view go away and stop screwing up my clips and making them start part way through (where the dot is!) instead of at their respective loop point/start points, where I want (and have already programmed) them to? Anyone know wha...

if you're not using it for live performance, why not go to Logic instead? For production, I really think it's just better. Also, Logic is awesome and I know several music professionals who love it, but what I love about Live is that I can actually figure out how to use it! One of the strengths of L...

Bottlenecks?
Maybe we can hope for some of this stuff to get cleared up with the next release. I suppose I could reinstall release 4 and wait 'til then to upgrade. Is 4 any better in this respect? iskandar - sounds like your experience is very similar to mine. This crash always happens when I accidentally fire o...
