my question now is this- is there a way to make a dummy clip that can output my single midi mapped pitch transposer into multiple vst/instrument tracks with this single pitch controller? RonC Easy part (you may have gotten this already): You can just map the pitch controls several times over, once ...

You can map a parameter to a range of MIDI keys by holding two MIDI keys in map mode. So you could put a pitch plug before the arp, map it to c2->c3, and the range to 13 steps.

[4648][4320]8b5, saved preset racks with VST/AU plugs

On OS X. Bug 1: When using AU/VSTs, I've previously in Live 7 occasionally mapped a specific 8 parameters to 8 rack macros, saved this rack as a preset, and loaded this rack rather than the AU/VST. I really like the ability to do this, it is a workflow improvement. This is no longer functioning well...

It's a pretty common problem I think, as things just behave a little differently in lower frequencies than upper frequencies. I'd recommend figuring out if it's lows, mids, highs that are getting out of line because different solutions will work better in each case. Or the right solution will be sor...

I kind of liked his acting on House, but was strangely pleased when they took out the musically prodigious half his brain.

If you open the chain view of a drum rack with one-hits, you'll see a list of every one-hit chain (chain is similar to channel in this context). If you drag another drum rack into this chain view, it becomes nested. If a few conditions are met this can be really, really clean - like if you have c1-d...

I tend to use one drum rack for 3 or 4 related sounds. One might be kicks, or a few samples grabbed from a loop, or a few effect-y sounds. A great thing about drum racks is you can nest them, so it's not too difficult to merge a few different racks at a later point in time if you want. For mixing mu...

If you feel like being pretty liberal with screwing around with the sound: I guess conceptually, infinite doesn't mean constant - if I'm understanding correctly the problem is some modulation present in the original audio source cycling based on loop length. So my trick would be do modulations on th...

I don't care how the sound is made, but I do care that people are fully experiencing it. Don't need to see anyone go Baryshni...

[awi] crashing w/ Live 7 sets, 3rd party plugs

Have caused Live beta to crash consistently on: * Dragging a track from a L7 .als * Dragging a MIDI clip from a L7 .als * Trying to preview a clip from a L7.als Not all interactions with Live 7 .als files crash me, but some do every time. I believe when importing from Live 7 to Live 8 causes a crash...

You'll see a headphone icon in the piano roll, you can click that to activate or deactivate MIDI note preview.
