PC users in the Live10 beta team, is WASAPI supported?

I mean are there new options like WASAPI here? If you're a PC users in the Live 10 beta team, could you check? Thanks in advance :) (bonus: it would not transform your laptop's realtek built-in soundcard into a RME, but it would at least make it much lower latency). Many DAW have it already . https:...

Re: Low latency out of the box in Live10 for Windows?

WASAPI will not make from a realtek onboard card a RME.. if that would happen, there would be no market anymore. Of course I'm not speaking about transforming a laptop Realtek (with just a 3.5mm out jack) into an 192khz 24bit audio interface with 8 or 16 balanced 6.35mm line inputs, with mic input ...

Re: Low latency out of the box in Live10 for Windows?

Of course it's low latency. It's a professional DAW. However, you'll only achieve low latency if you use an equally professional audio interface. This is a very bad choice if they still neglected this aspect for version 10. We're not in 2007 anymore. Bedroom producers with nearly no gear can become...

Low latency out of the box in Live10 for Windows?

Does Live 10 for Windows have low latency out of the box ? Even with a laptop's built in soundcard? i.e. no need to use Asio4all (which is not multiclient which is problematic) Note: It's available in many DAW (e.g. Reaper), thanks to support of WASAPI that offers low latency out of the box with Win...

Re: People with Windows 10 and a recent laptop, do you ...

I don't know what would have changed in the last few years where it'd be any different from before. Usually always requiring asio4all for built in cards at low latency. @yur2die4: There are some changes: Win10, Wasapi allowing lower latency (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers...

Re: People with Windows 10 and a recent laptop, do you ...

I think it's really going to depend on what soundcard come built into the laptop. There's a lot of variability there, so not too sure how much your question is going to help you I'm afraid. @Tarekith: it would help me a lot in fact :) I'm about to change my laptop, and if someone told me "I ha...

People with Windows 10 and a recent laptop, do you ...

... have low-latency out-of-the-box with the laptop built-in soundcard?

Or is it still not enough and you still need to install Asio4All?

(If Win10 and/or a recent laptop allows to have low latency without Asio4All, I'd consider upgrading my system)

Anacrusis when launching clip

In many of my 4-bar clips, there is an anacrusis . i.e. the musical phrase (for example vocals) begins 1 beat "before the 1st beat" (listen to example 5 here : Beatles - Yellow Submarine : https://popmusictheory.com/anacrusis/). Is there a way to set a clip with "1-beat anacrusis"...

Re: DrumRack: press twice the same pad

Yes, with Simpler. You need to engage the classic mode, specify the number of voices you're going to need and turn regtrig (the square "R"-button next to the voice count) off. Many thanks! How to make this the default for every new DrumRack ? I was thinking about doing one, right clicking ...

DrumRack: press twice the same pad

By default, in 1-shot mode, if I press a PAD, and then I press it again, the 1st playback is interrupted.

How to make that the 1st continues and doesn't stop when we press it a 2nd time?

... to load my projects?

(Hello by the way!)

PS: he's very slow at updating, because he always fears things will be broken when updating...
I don't know which version he has, perhaps 9.6 or even 9.2 ?

Re: Comping : an easy possible solution

takes couldn't work like this as easily as you think, as there's no way to highlight a specific area of one take and a different area of another take at the same time. in Live, arrangement selections apply either to one track/clip or to all tracks/clips. there's no inbetween. No, no, there's no nee...

Re: God what I hate hate hate comping vocals in Live

@chapelier fou : true, luddy's method is cool. But still, a real comping feature would be great (and not hard to actually implement).

Here is a feature proposal about this : viewtopic.php?f=1&t=222560

Comping : an easy possible solution

Like many others, I have spent a lot (really a lot) of time trying to do vocal takes comping with Live. It's really hard, compared to other DAWs. There are workarounds (such as luddy's method here), but still, it's not very handy. Here is a possible solution. http://gget.it/hp12kaa1/1.jpg http://gge...
