yeah Use your own made synthesis kicks, that way you sculpt your sound and you can tune it with other soundz, or play live widely more then with a sample... basicaly take a very low pitch sine wave (around 50Hz) and apply it a pith envelope withe a sublte attack, high peak and search the decay for ...

hmmm... i was lucky with my emx-1 from korg... i use it like you want to use your RM1-X. just a suggestion, mayve you should sell the RM1-X and buy a nice controller or an EMX-1... you see. i have 5 synth parts, with one push i can select the desired part. the cool thing is that each synth part send...

i just bought a Behringer BCF2000 and a BCR2000. basicly this is a mackie control with C4 extension. and than i also still have the uc33e. i read some threads about Mackie emulation too. now thats a deal. with a combination like that... and its a fraction of the price of the mackie.
