Probably a good idea to check you have the latest version of the software installed before installing the extra content (Help / Check for Updates ...)
Ableton are usually pretty good replying to emails if you make it clear what you were doing and what went wrong.

Re: Comping
no-one on these forums should be allowed to utter the word "garageband". surely it should be banned, no? nice one aceluby. i think the only reason the kids want 'comping' these days is 'cos it is fashionable. if logic had a dishwasher than all the kidz would expect that in live too. which...

Re: Comping
Comping is what every engineer calls it, for better or worse. Short for composite, which isn't a verb, but there it is. ... -Luddy What every engineer in the whole world? Surely just the pro's ? Anyway, misuse as a verb is surely no worse than as an abbreviation for 'accompanying' or whatever...

Re: Comping
A good challenge though, anyone up for it? Considering it at the moment. Right now my main gripes are: "What am I dealing with exactly" and in this case most importantly (ok, selfish comment:) "What's in it for me". And no; I don't mean compensation (as in money or so) here (bee...

Re: Comping
I would normally call what you are looking for 'multiple takes' and 'composite takes'. Comping in music more often refers to keyboard players left hand chord progressions, especially hammond organ for some reason :? . As a poor Max programmer I would say it would be a bit of a stretch. Max4L is good...

I wouldn't discount Omnisphere but for HW nothing sounds like a Moog. Nothing.

Re: losing sound in arrangement view
Is the Back to the Arrangement' button lit (next to the OVR button in the transport)?
If so click it and sound will happen. This is usually caused by making changes in Session view then returning to Arrangement view - you should read up about this in the manual
