Re: Beyer 770 Pro 80 or 250 Ohm

If you've done a bit of internet research, you may have come across this thread already. FWIW. I have the 80 Ohm 770s. I primarily got them because I wanted cans that worked well without having to plug into a headphone amp. They're plenty loud straight from the headphone jack of my MBP, and I find t...

Re: How to lock in Push to control a track that has no instrumen

That's a tricky one... but there are a few other ways around it too I get around the problem by giving Stutter Edit a dedicated midi input set to Monitor In, so that it always gets the signal.. If you don't have a dedicated Midi device other than push, you could set up Push's User Mode as midi input...

Dummy Clips! that act as patch change, either changing chain select, or turning whole channels/instruments on or off.

Re: I need help using ableton to mix djent/deathcoreish guitar

Many potential problems happening, and thus, potential solutions also: Firstly, you have new guitar strings on? your tone control all the way up? You're never going to make it sound bright if the source material doesn't have high frequency content. Secondly, check that your gain going into your audi...

Re: Adding artwork to custom live pack help

You have to create a lesson folder, a lessons.txt file with a bit of code in that txt file that points to the images in the lessons folder. It's all a bit difficult to explain, and the best way to really grasp it is to have a look at other people's ones.... feel free to download the ones off my site...

Re: Noises from Dub Machines Magnetic

It's the "noise" parameter... and is a feature.

if you don't like it, turn the noise down, or chuck a gate after it.

Re: Anyone seen this Macbook Pro display glitch before?

Yep... I've seen it in the ones I manage at the school I work at. Our tech said it's just the connections between video card and screen getting loose. Has your computer been dropped or roughly treated? The fix is actually really easy... push down on and around the qwerty keyboard with your palm quit...

Re: return looper pitch to zero?

I've mapped the pitch control on the looper to a foot controller and set the range from -36 to +36. This works fine, but I need to be able to quickly reset it to zero. I've tried sending the same CC number as the pedal, set to a value of 64, but it sets the pitch to .28 instead of zero. Any thought...

You can get some neat things if you chuck a looper on the return.

Re: Transient control: ADSR, Compression...or Transient Shapers?

A few Qs: • No sample selector macro?! (I'm primarily doing 128s of drum sounds and one shots/FX) • Macro 4: I'm assuming that your drum racks all have return chains that are pre-mapped to this? • Macro 5-6: No decay or Sustain control? re: Sample selector... of course that would be essential to ma...

Re: Transient control: ADSR, Compression...or Transient Shapers?

As a point of interest on Macro set-up.... At the Melbourne live user group we had Phillip who works in the packs team from Ableton come in and talk to us about how they try to get the commercial packs set up, so there are common parameters mapped to specific macros. His template is something that ...

Re: Controlling Chain Select with Dummy Clips?

If you want to control the envelope of a device, the device you want to control has to be on the same channel that you have the clip that is triggering the envelope change (in your case, the chain selector parameters change). So, you work around is to swap the clips over.... have the midi notes you ...
