Re: Hardware recorded to audio track sound quality
Has to be better, but wud not totally switch until they come out with bitwig pro. For me I need 2 see if bitwig will support my sound blaster pro card before I can even consider.

yeah, i know, right? Funny, because he didn't even have to leave, he could have just changed his name to some vaguely racist bullshit and stayed on the forum forever.

Re: Lessons learned from researching Audio Interfaces
i run at 88.4k specifically to achieve less latency while not burning as much cpu as 96k or higher would. my macbook is about 4 years old or so. i use a motu ultralight and easily achieve 4.6ms total latency for when i am recording live instruments or using live as my guitar stompbox and looper. i b...

Re: Dubspot-Livid make a beautiful mixer controller
maybe i'm in the minority, but regular ol' midi CCs work fine for me. Live is so flexible with how you can assign stuff i haven't had a problem using straight up 0-127 CCs. But i don't really care about any kind of automap functionality. I just save a bunch of template sets for my different control ...

Re: Bitwig 1.0
That. That is a totally uncalled for personal attack based on two fucking sentences that i wrote. I'm not rich, man. I barely have shit outside of my music gear that has taken me DECADES to amass. I have struggled for years to just barely make it and i'm still fucking struggling. But I do have 400$...

Re: Bitwig 1.0
You are out of your fucking mind. You want to act like you came in here and said "bitwig is too expensive" and a bunch of people started freaking out and insulting you. This is what you started with: 400usd sounds cheap to me, but maybe i'm just accustomed to everything for electronic musi...

Re: Bitwig 1.0
So the price of music production software is responsible for world economic inequality then? Well, at least partially. you see, the bitwig guys just waited a few years to release this thing so that they could pretend to be doing a lot of work on it, in actuality they are just a cartel of bankers th...

Re: Dubspot-Livid make a beautiful mixer controller
yeah, but that doesn't really work for me when i play live. I really like to get comfortable with the controls doing the same thing every time i touch them.

Re: Dubspot-Livid make a beautiful mixer controller
i almost went for the vestax before i ended up with the pair of xone k2s. The knob situation is way better on the vestax, but i really need more than 6 channels for what i do live and i didn't like that the knobs were labeled cause i would want to assign them differently. I mean, obv i could just co...

Re: Dubspot-Livid make a beautiful mixer controller
there's actually kits out there that make it super easy to build your own usb/midi controller, and i've been tempted for a long time, but ultimately i'm just too fucking lazy.

Re: Dubspot-Livid make a beautiful mixer controller
That's about what i would find ideal too. 8 channels, 10 knobs per channel (some can be smaller), a button under each knob and two under each fader.

Re: Dubspot-Livid make a beautiful mixer controller
the livid looks good! I was so desperate for a controller like this that i bought 2 xone-k2s to handle mix duties for an upcoming show. I feel like i paid a little too much, and i would like more knobs but it's good. The livid thing has one more knob per channel and i'd still like to see more. How n...
