The workaround of course is to group the plugin inside a rack but don't assign any macros to control it. The benefit to that is that Push's display with update with the plugin parameter changes like which is useful for the macros in Massive.

I like the Novation Launchcontrol Xl because of the faders and sends but the track selection/solo/mute buttons allow me to leave Push in device control mode which is really awesome.
