Yes, agreed. Maybe of-topic but we are nudging a quest for a simple scripting ability. The most obvious choices should be explicit in the GUI. But at custom level it whould be interesting to add you own conditions. While the clip layout is a kind av grid, conditions may be constructed as play (x,y) ...

Yes, grown ups we are.
But anyway, I have to jump between crap posts to find the interesting ones. No big deal, but would be a nice feature to be able to hide posts by a click, but I guess thats not an option on individual forum user level.

Magic Carpet and Live 4

Tried the Magic Carpet Demo (http://www.ismism.de/), but just got ugly noices at high levels when running as VST in Live in a midi track.
It behaves OK in CM:s studio environment.
Dont know who to blame, so post goes to ismism to.

OK, now I see. Strange. Bug? But I discovered that by clicking in the last field and "dragging" the value down, you can get a launch time of 0.0.1! And it stays that way. Right now I have the drumloop in the tutorias in two slots, follow action set to next on both, ratio 1 - 0, first with ...

Presampling / loop sampling

Here I go again: My now quite old Roland W30 had a marvelous presampling time setting. It could be sampling all the time (looping) until I realized something good had passed and hit the OK button. A number of seconds before that aha-moment could then be caught on the fly. I want that. And: I want to...

Consolidating session clips

What I do:
Recorded audio in one clip, then chopping it up in different copies.
Then I have to drag them all into arrangement for consolidating to different files.
Why cant this be done in session view?

Yes (excuse me for interrupting...) Not totally obvious that Midi Scale does this things in all cases, I tried it with a midi track that I wanted to be received by three other tracks and Simpler, to split the original track into three octaves with three different cello samples. Scale failed me. But ...

Hi I don't exacly get it, but: When you say setting "time" to 1/16, is that the signature in the first clip box? Experimenting with this, shows that this is only(?) a display feature. Whith a one bar clip in a default 4/4 signature, setting the signature to 1/4 will change the labels in th...

I do more often make sort of text and sound compositions but with Live it quite often by "accident" turns into something resembling music. And yes, it is because you will often try to loop things... It funny in a way: I started out with tape recorders, then hade a hardware sampler, then th...

Hi - I thought ther was a pitch-something in the mixer drop down on each track in arrangement, but as I looked closer it wasn't. Maybe (I don't know) this is because an arrangement track may contain a variety of clips, and could they all be handled "in bulk" by track pitch shifting? Well, ...

I am sure tou know about arming the track for recording etc. I have some problems with recording too, I guess it is because I have a bad soundcard (if that's where it is determined) with no separate monitoring option. In Live, I have to turn the main out all way down, otherwise it will feed itself b...

Question no 1: Is there a conceptual and/or technical limitation in Live, not allowing the offset setting for a clip to be negative? Example: A sample of train starting to roll. The clip loop should contain the up and running part, but the offset should introduce the slower, starting up portion. (An...

Loop question stupid no 1

(More will follow...) When adjustiong a clips start end pos etc I find myself missing the ability to place a start marker before the clip region start (!) position. Well, that can be done in simpler or by fixing thing with one or more clip copies in the arrangement. I guess I am talking about lettin...
