Re: Adding drums to your song
There are other techniques used commonly to make space for your drums, spefifically your kick, such as sidechaining a compressor to duck the bassline out of the way each time the kick hits in order to bring the kick to the fore That ^^^^ is a great explanation. +1 Personally I turn to side chaining...

Re: Axiom 25 knobs are useless, looking for replacement.
get an old novation keyboard, i just bought the older remote series, and the knobs work great, it has endless and fixed knobs, and buttons, and the keys blow away just about every other brand.
i got the 2 octave for 80$ off craigslist.

Open Labs D Beat Pro
Don't always be scared off by the pro label.
I think the open labs pro is the exact thing he is speaking about, infact, they went out of business because noone fell for the gimmick.

Re: Japanese percussion; Abes, you're pushing your limits! :-)
I am a big sucker for Asian (-like) sounds. Having had the privilege of actually experiencing some of such percussion performances live I kinda went crazy. Even woke up my gf (who happens to be Asian, but that's all I'm sharing here) If you're like me (referencing to the Asian sound preferences) Sh...

Re: Undergrad and Graduate Music Degrees
i dont think having a degree would(except maybe a certification to play in orchestra or something) would make any difference to you. i think the knowledge gained may be important but having a music degree is pretty meaningless. you pretty much just need to jump in and start working, probably for fre...

Re: Do you reckon Native instruments are going to build a daw. .
I reckon they'll eventually build a Neko type product. I don't think it'll have a computer built-in like Neko....

Re: Great Ableton DJ trick: Vinyl mixing in Ableton itself
i was gonna post that ^^ but i didnt feel like it. but since im not the only one, ill agree :| theres absolutely no need to pitch bend tracks inside of live, theyre all matched perfectly! and since your not changing the master tempo, you cant actually use it to bend to match vinyl or cds or whatever.
