I can't help you there... I personally use an M-audio Ultra which is USB2 and usually works, but I get weird sputters sometimes that aren't ASIO buffer problems. I can't say I'd recommend it if you have access Firewire, which I do not.

The only way I know to do that is through Live's control surface support - if yours is supported, see if you can't get it loaded in as a control surface in MIDI preferences. That can get the fader taken care of, and then if you want the buttons to move through tracks, you can probably do that throug...

MPGK is exactly right - effect racks are a great way to do this. What you can do is put an effect rack on your track, and make however many chains you want in that rack, then adjust them somehow. I believe this is correct. If I recall correctly, Live sends feedback out on the same note/CC that was mapped. I do not believe there is a way to change this. So if you want to route it differently, you'll need Bome's or something equivalent.
