Re: New Ableton interactive website - learningmusic
I would love to read a write-up from the web developers - I'm curious about how timing was handled, for example.

Live 10: *True* multi editing - select/edit more than 1 clip
I'm disappointed by the so-called multi clip editing in Live 10. This isn't multi clip *editing* - it's an improved way of jumping back and forth, just like in Live 9. Let's say I have a bass track, an arpeggio, a pad, a lead synth and some repetitive background synth - all following a chord progres...

Re: L10 multi MIDI: Can you transpose notes from multiple clips?
Just got the beta too. Max devices load very fast, so Isotonik's editor is recommended. Suggestion for the native multi clip editing: I wish we could hold ctrl or alt to make selections apply to both foreground and background clips. That would make it would be perfect for my needs. Relevant Live 10 ...

Re: L10 multi MIDI: Can you transpose notes from multiple clips?
Ah, that's the one thing I really needed multi MIDI for.
Since Max patches apparently load fast enough now, it sounds like Isotonik's editor is the way to go for me: https://isotonikstudios.com/product/mid ... ip-editor/

L10 multi MIDI: Can you transpose notes from multiple clips?
All the Live 10 videos I've seen only show jumping between clips. I'm interested in editing multiple clips simultaneously. Let's say I have a bass track and a chord track, and I want to transpose one bar of the progression. Can I select notes from both clips and transpose them in one action? If not,...

Re: Ableton Live UI survey SECOND EDITION
Hi! I'm not a designer, but I hope my feedback helps. Good: I see some very nice ideas for implementations: - Clips: waveform, info and playbar indicator (instead of pie at the bottom of the track, like we have now) - Customizable header with useful settings - Mixer view with inline EQ and selectabl...

Are you asking for an upload/attach file button? I agree, that would be very nice to have. Here's how to do it for now, for those who don't know: Posting an image: 1. Upload to http://imgur.com/ or elsewhere 2. Post this (remove underscores): [img_]http://i.imgur.com/yourimage.jpg[/img_] Posting aud...

Re: How do you change the midi editor (resolved)
^ Yes. Only works in arrangement view.
If you're in session view, you can click in the piano roll, and quick jump between MIDI notes (or chords) with the up/down arrow keys.

Re: Ableton needs a "Tracker View"
Most people here probably don't know what trackers are. What are their advantages for you? Why would people want to use something that looks like Excel from the future? I know some guys who use Renoise, and I'm really impressed by its feature set. I just didn't like the lack of visual differentiatio...

You can change the swing amount on the arpeggiator by adjusting the global amount in the groove pool!
