Q

not sure what you exactly want but i recently found a bug which is in there since ever ( and i was surprised that no one did report it...) : - recording a session clip allways starts with 1 bar quantisation regardless of the global quantisation settings. obviously this is not what you could expect a...

output levels

propably cant do anything against it. the rme offers + 4dB studio evel and the emi -10dB consumer output. facing the same problem i allways ask for a small mackie or behringer mixer. but if you want to go straight into the DJ mixer and it`s gain control does not boost the line signal well enough the...

Re: talk about cracked versions

Spacerboy, as far as Ableton is concerned this is definitley not true. There is no "strategy". And we would be happy if there were no cracks. ( And i am pretty sure the situation is the same at Emagic) But once a crack is available what are your choices as a software manufacturer ? You try...

why stopping

skiptracer, thanx for the warm words, but i hope you can understand that the answer to the question of "why" the live crack stops working will not be given from us at Ableton. I am glad to hear that it does stop working. We know that we propably cannot provide a 100% protection against cra...

latenzy

...i would not go so far to assume that everyone who is asking a question which is covered in the manual is using a crack. nevertheless: latency is something which is inherent when processing audio on a normal computer in realtime. it has nothing to do with cpu speed or memory. some operation system...

metronome

Oh, i am stupid, ignore my last post. Because: It is allready possible !!!! The Metroneme appears at the Pre_listen output. This means 1. you can adjust the volume with the prelisten dial in the master section 2. you can route the prelisten output to another output of your soundcard. ( in prefs ) ch...

transpose

would a track based transpose function which can be assigned to a MIDI controler be an alternative for you ? ( imagine we would have a device on the very left side of the effects chain which offers you a control for creating an offset to the current transpose of the running clip. this would allow yo...

beta testers

Hello nosuch, i agree completly. it was painfull for us too, but unfortunately we had to have the release of 2.0 at the end of 2002 because we need to pay our developpers. This is not meant as an excuse for releasing a buggy update, but there was no alternative this time. The fact that Alex is answe...

meters

In Live you have meters at two locations : if you open the Bus View and select Input you see what comes in from your soundcard. attached to this meter is a gain slider which currently has a pretty useless scaling ( we will change this for the next release ). ignore the slider and set it to 0.0 dB.
