Render to WAV in realtime ??
When I go to export to WAV when I have external hardware connected, it will only do it in realtime - even thought I have the hardware tracks muted as I have already bounced those tracks to audio. If I delete the hardware tracks, then it will export to WAV as normal. Is this the way it should be or i...

Re: Glide in Analog - I can't get it to work
As kb420 also said, you want Mono. Click on Analog's main panel (Volume, Vib, Uni, Glide) and then look at the centre screen. There are two menus for Voices. One is for how many notes can be played at once, the second one is just for Unison, which is a minimum of 2. Unison of 1 would be...a chorus ...

Would really appreciate that thankstedlogan wrote:
Ah I see, didn't know 1 voice is the minimum. At work now but I hardly use Analog anyway. I am curious now to see what's going on though...glide not working is very strange. Will check it out when I get home.

Re: Glide in Analog - I can't get it to work
IGNORE: (fuck knows how to do strikethrough text, none of Google's results seem to work here): If it does sound crap, place 2 Analogs of your patch inside an Instrument rack. Enable the one osc on the first and the other osc on the second, and enable glide and 1 voice on both. EDIT: sorry, braindea...

Re: Glide in Analog - I can't get it to work
Thanks. Got a feeling, my pad is going to sound crap with one voice - Will test at home later.joeyfivecents wrote:yes that is the issue. One voice at a time will give that glide.

Re: Glide in Analog - I can't get it to work
Currently it's a one note melody using 2 OSC and 2 voices - so is that the issue?kb420 wrote:Analog's Glide doesn't seem to work too well when you try to use Legato with anything other than a Mono sound. Change your voice settings and you'll see what I mean.
I can't test right now as I'm at work.

Glide in Analog - I can't get it to work
What am I doing wrong here?
I have a melody which I would like the notes to glide in pitch to one another. I have the Glide button on and have tried various percentages and have also tried switching Legato on and off and I can't get it to Glide.
I have no problems using Glide within Operator though.

Re: Can anyone explain how a MIDI Data Dump works please?
Live doesn't support sysex messages. The patch dumps from your Rocket are being ignored. Oh well that's just great isn't it :) So the only thing I can do is commit to audio and move on? I guess that's one of the drawbacks of such a simply synth that does not store user patches. Thanks for the reply.

Can anyone explain how a MIDI Data Dump works please?
Not 100% sure if that's the right terminology I've used but basically, I've bought a Waldorf Rocket hardware synth. It does not store any patches but it does say in the manual that by holding down the Rocket's Launch button for 1 second, it will dump the patch data into the DAW's midi track in the f...

I find that Decay to be quite useful when working with hats. Especially open hats. Automating a little movement on the decay of a hat pattern can create some very subtle variation.tedlogan wrote:I've found Decay and Sustain to be unnecessary, unless you like holding down drumpads.

Re: What macros have you got setup on your 128 samplers?
Mine are pretty similar: Attack, Sustain, Decay & Release Transpose, Cutoff, Loop Mode and Volume. Haven't thought of mapping pitch envelope, I will play around with it and see. Pitch envelope is pretty cool at creating some strange sounds (zaps etc), but to be honest, I've not put it to any us...

What macros have you got setup on your 128 samplers?
I'm interested to hear about what macro setups you have on your 128 samplers/drum racks? Do you have all 8 macros dedicated to Sampler parameters? Do you have some macros assigned to fx in the chain? At the moment I have mine set to: 1 - Attack 2 - Decay 3 - Volume 4 - Cutoff 5 - Transpose 6 - Shape...

Ballsy techno with a touch of breeze
My latest techno track. Went a little darker on the sounds than usual but still liked to inject a bit of melody here and there to help lift it up.
Appreciate any comments as always.
