Alex wrote: Because the latest released version number is 8.05, you might ask why this version number is already 8.0.8.
This is simply because the version numbers 8.0.6 & 8.0.7 are reserved for special OEM related releases.

O.K. now i am curious - just a guess M4L and Serato up next?

Re: Acapellas

All the tutorials I have seen about warping are really basic, I guess more than anything, I need a more in depth knowledge on warping, maybe that would be the most beneficial. Did you see this one? http://www.medwaystudios.com/Ableton-8-Tutorials/Ableton-Live-8-Warping-Tutorial.html It gives a good...

Re: Acapellas

My 2 cents: Use warping in Session mode. Drag it in, listen to the Original tune identifiy the one on the acapella by comparing to the Original, set start marker to the one and use metronome, btw: no warp markers only the first on the one. then adjust tempo in clip settings and always use beat mode ...

Re: Akai MPD and MPK pad mods - tips for better pad sensitivity

done did it .........and glad i did it :) One thing i learned and should be pointed out, the quantity of layers depends on the tape u use. At first i took 4 layers and my pads fully full stuffed, since i got a thick tape i tried less and ended up by just taking one stripe. With more layers i got ser...

There is no crash report when you get the BSOD, at least i did not see one, and definitely no report while you hit Cpu peaks, concerning the "normal" crashes Hermanus is right :) ...it crashes all the time!!!!! 8.05. on XP  the least stable of all the v8 releases!!!!!! by far Same for...

Re: Can't kill an Ableton process off my task manager

typically the Live executable "hangs" in there and cant be killed when its not letting go of the audio drivers. Try unplugging your audio interface and it should get rid of it I second that, it did work out for me. I realized that other audio dependable processes did stop it from being te...

Re: Want to improve my beat programming...

My 2 cents, though i know there are way more experienced guys on this forum that might teach some knowledge. Let timing loose, drum/clap etc. more than a 2 bar Loop, ait best all through the whole song and do only correct those obvious bad hits. Extract Grooves from your old vinyl faves etc. and ana...

Re: Bugfix update 8.0.5 available

Live 8.05's CPU hit appears to have more than doubled. Cheers, bagginz Yep same over here on WIn XP. System is not even running 50%, while Live is peaking the hell out. Even worse: I did not have single crash in 8.04. Updated to 8.05 upon release and crashes all over the place. at least 4 in 2 hour...

Re: Why is Live 8.5 asking to authorize?

I had the same Problem, but 8.05 was already installed and authorized and it worked for like 2 days, all of sudden i got the famous B.S.O.D. in Win XP. Next time i restarted i had to re-authorize 8.05. Even more strange i checked the old 8.04 and 7.X installations and all of them we`re still authori...
