Re: Been using Live 7 for a bit now...
There is no way to have these "folders" to multi-part virtual instruments, is there? For example, the Virus Control plugin supprts 16 midi channels. It would be group to fold the midi channels when I'm working on other things in Live, just to help reduce clutter. Another example is Impulse...

I own Live 6, Operator, Sampler, and EIC. I fall in this category: Upgrade to Ableton Suite (Boxed) Includes: Live 6 to Live 7 Upgrade (Box) Session Drums Analog Tension Electric Drum Machines USD $399 ($299 without Session Durms, which I'm willing to ditch) I was thinking about buying Komplete 5 wh...

Axiom vs. Axiom Classic for Midi Surface Control
For those who have an Axiom... With Live set to use the "Axiom" surface controller, I can only get the 8 sliders to control Live's mixer on the first 8 channels and the 8 buttons to record-arm the first 8 channels. Not a big deal, but.. With Live set to Axiom Classic mode, I can change the...

Re: Arrange View - Count In?
Thanks for your reply. I figured it out. If you have Punch In/Punch Out buttons enabled there is no count-in in Arrange view. When they are disabled it uses count in.
Looks like we both learned something new today!

Arrange View - Count In?
I must be having a major brain fart. I have Live's Options set to a 2-bar count in, but this only works in the Session view. In the Arrange view, especially when working on the start of a track, when I press record everything starts right away and there is no count in, which is quite annoying. I'm s...

You lazy bastards!
I can't believe how many kids post videos on YouTube showing their lame attempt at DJ'ing with Live or Traktor, while sitting down! Who DJ's sitting down? My gawd!

Re: Reaktor or Massive?
Honeslty, if you're like me then your attention span lasts about 20-30 minutes before you want to just use the sound you're tweaking. In that case, Massive is best and sounds fantastic. The interface is inspiring. If you really want something to spend hours with and build sounds and modules from scr...

Re: selling my virus ti cause of the latency issues in ableton
I'm running Virus TI 2.51 with Ableton 6.0.10 and have no issues when using the Virus Control plugin. Prior to 2.51 I know people were following this suggestion. http://faq.access-music.de/index.php?action=article&cat_id=001007003&id=63&lang=en&highlight=ableton Visit http://virusti....

I really wish I could try a Xone 3D for a day. I know it's expensive, but it really does have everything. The only downside is the size. It's not easy to travel with and even worse I don't think most clubs will clear out a whole area for a DJ to setup a laptop and Xone 3D (unless you are a megastar).

What do you guys think? I remember reading abou this 2 years ago when the concept was firewire audio and brushed aluminum. Looks like it is strictly USB Midi and the physical appearance is a bit different. Looks plenty sturdy and much better than the X-Session Pro. http://www.kentonuk.com/pix_h/dann...

Different Plugins - Different Volume
Anyone notice some VSTi plugins have different level of volume which seem lower than normal? For example, FM7/FM8 and the Korg Legacy plugins seem like their volume is much lower on any given patch compared to Operator, Simpler, Vanguard, etc.. It almost sounds like some plugins can't breath and are...
