I found that RMS mode produces less pops.
Yes, but you get slower ducking than you would get with the Live 8 compressor in FF1 mode.

Or I might only use fairly mild sidechaining to not notice the popping. What settings are you using? Peak mode and short attack to get fast ducking. It seems impossible...

There's nothing to be fixed... "Live 9" Compressor simply is faster and that's why some people thought it wasn't working correctly. Slow down the attack and you'll see that it works and is actually more flexible than the "L8" one. It's been discussed here a while ago, and I demo...

My point was that nothing in this life is perfect. Sure Live 10 could have been better. Live 11 could be better. Everything and everyone could be better . It would be really great if I was a fantastic musician - but we do not live in some kind of ideal world where reality matches our dreams of perf...

Happy to see comping at last and it looks like it has been well implemented (as expected from those brilliant developers of Ableton)!

The only major functionality missing now is easy pitch correction of vocals - PLEEEAASE give us native pitch correction in Live too in a later point release!!!

ARA, midi export and vocal comping plz! Then I can ditch Logic :D YES but I don't think they're working on it ...... this thread is old now. I have to go to Logic to do all my vocal recordings / editiing. And come back to Ableton. So stupid ... But let us keep this thread alive, not to loose hope! ...

Never mind - sudden space constraints forced me to remove my external synth setup. If anyone should suggest a solution I still won't be able to test it for several months, so I won't follow the evolution of this thread.

And I forgot to mention that I can verify that MIDI in from my MIDI keyboard works by firing up any VST instrument.

Msi GS63VR. They have more powerful ones now. I bought mine in 2017 still going strong. Usually on most PCs you download ASIO4ALL and it allows you to achieve low latency with your stock sound card. Hasn't failed me yet. I'm not sure on how well stock soundcards drive headphones though. Scarlets ha...
