Macbook Pro issues with Ableton
Hey all, Just purchased a refurbished mid 2014 Macbook Pro 13" Retina to use for recording/production and performing. The computer itself seems pretty good, but kind of sluggish with Ableton, which I dont understand because my MBPr exceeds the minimum requirements. i5 2.8 GHZ dual Core 8 GB RAM...

Re: Transfer license to MBPr
That part was easy! Thanks guys Unfortunately I am noticing a strange issue, there are NO drums in Ableton 9 Standard now that I have installed it onto my macbook. There aren't any samples, recordings or anything for drums. The "Drumrack" word is there with the arrow but it's empty... any ...

Transfer license to MBPr
Hey all,
I recently just purchased a refurbished 13" Macbook Pro Retina from Apple. Pretty excited about this!
I want this to become my primary workstation, how can I go about registering Ableton 9 Standard onto this? Do I need to cancel my current Windows 32 bit license?
Thanks!

Weird MIDI issue

Basically the very first note in a MIDI clip..clips and no sound comes from that note, it's been quantized and the volume/midi volume is the same as all the other notes in the midi clip, it just doesnt play...

Re: Simpler wont play samples...
Try doing this: - Create a MIDI track. - Drag the audio that's just been recorded into the MIDI track It SHOULD create a Simpler that contains the audio sample. Nope, just converts audio to midi. Edit: Ok I dragged it in the bottom where it says "Drop an instrument or sample here", did tha...

Getting a good mix for Ableton

Hey all, I've been playing guitar for about 8 years, in mostly heavy metal bands and I just wanted to try something totally new and refreshing musically. I purchased a Novation Launchkey Mini from Guitar Center a few days after new years and have been writing songs on the fly in Ableton, it's a very...

Re: Creating instrumental/techno songs in Ableton
any input on the songs I have created? the audio-quality is very good, and you are a sensible composer thank you! :D also, in the project I am currently working on, I keep "losing" the drums in the mix (all the other layered instruments sound louder and it's hard to hear the drums, specif...

Re: Creating instrumental/techno songs in Ableton
Here's my soundcloud with all of the music I have made in Ableton over the last 7 days. Pretty satisfied with these results, though I really wanna learn more and grow. This is my first time doing electronic music (I've played in metal bands in the last 7 years, thought I'd try something fresh) https...
