Is it not in there? Because I thought it was.
I just fired up Live 8 and it works there, but not in 7. I'm on a Mac
Thanks,

Like me and the other guy said, the Stanton 150's, either model. They are the "industry standard alternatives to 1200's", lolo0o wrote:thanks for every tip and technics edu. now what is the next best thing for this type of dj?

Re: For bouncing to tape, will ANY playe do?
look for old technics or denon/marantz tape decks that haven't gotten much use. clean the heads (the portions where the tape touches the tape player, look online for clarification) with 90% isopropyl (rubbing alcohol). you will most likely get better results from hunting at a goodwill or 2nd-hand s...

Wow, are APC40's really only $220 now?
That makes me want to buy something I don't need, which is disturbing.

Re: best for mobile
Considering neither is really velocity sensitive, why not just use the laptop keyboard to trigger things and save yourself the hassle? I used to bring a small midi keyboard with me for mobile composing, but over time just switched to the laptop on it's own and it's a lot easier. I would think the c...

Re: Technics Turntable Recommendations ?
1200's are great, but depending where you are might be hard to come by. The best alternative, and arguably a better build (more torque and just plain heavier/solidier), more pitch range and some other nice to have's like pitch lock would be none other than the Stanton STR8.150 / ST.150. Stanton is n...

Re: To Maschine Or Not To Maschine
There's no reason, other than money, you can't have both. I'm surprised at how fast I can maneuver through the Mikro. Perhaps cause I've had some time to learn the flagship Maschine. You can also just use Live as a mixing board for Maschine, sequencing in Maschine which is really easy and fast. It ...

Re: Do u clean install your mac?
Is it necessary with Macs the way it is with PC?
I used to reinstall XP every couple of years and always seemed to get a performance boost when I did. I'm on a iMac now and would rather never do it if not necessary.
Thanks,

There is absolutely no difference in the audio engines for all clouds. The only exception to this is the HP cloud, which is integrated with Beats by Dre.

By *now* I mean I just noticed this in Live 7. Do they have this at the Set level? If not, I will have a dummy clip in every set and write my notes in that clip for the whole set. STRATEGY Duh, it's actually a lot more useful at the clip level of course. All these little mix ideas that I get when I...
