very good sounding mix, you could use a raspy sounding synth to do the vocals.
Also like Os Vizinhos, nice variations in the arrangement. You could try some vocals in there maybe?

Sticky: please post genre
always spending time sifting through the posts to find tracks in my genre to comment on.
It would be very helpfull if people write their genre in the title.
Can this be made a sticky?

thanks for the kind words!
I would love to comment on your ambient track and altough it's pleasant sounding, it's not my kind of music so I can't really give any usefull feeback.

MIX critique: Major Tom [Pop-Rock]
Eager for some criticism on my latest attempt on achieving a balanced mix, I've posted the song " Major Tom" on Soundcloud. I'm aware of some timingerrors but please give your judgement on the overall mix: is it balanced, do the vocals and instrumentparts have their own place and are they ...

Re: spectrum analyser
this I understand: see what a well mixed track looks like in spectrum, but this obviously very specific for that track, is it not? I have a very hard time using spectrum, it all seems a bunch of wrigly lines and bars to me, even if I carve out a band with EQ8 from a distorted guitartrack it hardly m...

Re: Mixing vocals in ableton 8
how do you mean? you hear the mic-input when you stop playing back a clip?
if you disarm the track (record-disable) the input from the mic will not be heard.

Re: Mixing vocals in ableton 8
As more knowledgeable people will tell you: there is no single correct setting. Start with a good microphone/preamp and soundcard to get a proper level signal into Live (the audiowaves should at least be visible in a recorded clip). Then it is a matter of dialing in the vocalamp and equalizer in the...

Re: Nanokontroller not recognised after reinstalling 7 (mac)
jou must connect the nanokontrol before you launch Live, otherwise the program will not recognize it. As far as I know this is the case with avery midicontroller. The fact that it stops working after a few minutes seems to be a different problem, you could try to remove the Korg-software and driver ...

close or resize the clipviewsection below the mixersection, if the mixersection is too small then the I/O button is greyed out.
