Re: Automap templates May 29
Hi, I'd really like a fresh link also, your templates sound great :-) If I could divert the topic slightly, has anyone here encountered a bug whereby Live 8 lists the Automapped components under the incorrect 'folder' (I say 'folder' because it has how Live presents the Audio Units, but components d...

Re: Live reports/shows wrong plugin parameter values
I consider it a major annoyance, and it is nothing to do with controllers, just a really, really silly Live bug that has been with us since 8.0. I have a theory... the Abes work so hard they only have time to open Live and 'DJ'... I very rarely have any problems with that side of it. They don't, how...

Re: 'Configure' Ridiculousness. I can't even believe it...
No one else saves instruments or effect presets and wants the configure setup for midi parameters to remain the same? REALLY?!?!

Re: Automapped plug-ins in the wrong folder
I should add the fact it doesn't happen in Live 7 would seem to imply it's a Live 8 bug.

Re: Automapped plug-ins in the wrong folder
Hi, I have the exact same problem.... but only in Live 8, not Live 7. I tried installing/uninstalling, trashing preferences, and all I accomplished was moving most of the plugins from 'Lennardigital' to 'PSPAudio'! So all my u-he, SPL, Sound Toys, etc, are listed under PSPAudio!

Re: Make the cake more tasty instead of covering it in frosting!
Angstrom, As you've been so helpful today I was wondering if I could bother you to check another couple posts I've made and confirm you experience the same behaviour: Regarding saving a preset not saving the 'Configure' settings: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=119736 Regarding plug...

Re: Make the cake more tasty instead of covering it in frosting!
Here's the screenshots: http://www.talesmagazine.com/misc/overdubauto.jpg [EDIT] I just trashed my preferences and now it is working as you describe... so, this raises the questions: 1) Why would trashing preferences fix this? 2) Why did Jorg from Ableton tell me via e-mail that you couldn't do this...

Re: Make the cake more tasty instead of covering it in frosting!
Ok, I just tested and it still doesn't work for me. I have also tested on my friends machine and he has the same problem. I have powered off and disabled in the preferences every external midi controller except for the remote input on my APC (otherwise I have no knob to test with!). Angstrom, it wou...

Re: Make the cake more tasty instead of covering it in frosting!
Hey, I'll do as you say when I get home because this is something that's really been frustrating me! It's odd that Ableton wrote back to me and said it *wasn't* possible: "Thanks for your message. Unfortunately that´s the way it is specified at the moment - all automation lanes will get overwri...

Terrible Rack Bug (Both Audio & Instrument Racks)
Hi, If you save a Rack and then reload it the configure pane for the plugin and by association the APC show the position of ALL the parameters incorrectly. Here is a screenshot. The first rack with SPL Full Ranger was saved and then dragged back in. You can quite clearly see Ableton is reporting ALL...

Re: Make the cake more tasty instead of covering it in frosting!
Hey Angstrom, Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant if you have a series of audio clips all on different tracks and you select them all, you should *then* be able to press ALT to have them move vertically. For example, I normally browse sample libraries just pressing 'ENTER' on anything I lik...

Re: 'Configure' Ridiculousness. I can't even believe it...
Saving as an Audio Rack is a work around... however, I specifically didn't want to save as an Audio Rack because I only use them when once I've narrowed down on the specific parameters I'll be playing with on a song... too much nesting gets confusing, particularly when navigating around with the APC...

'Configure' Ridiculousness. I can't even believe it...
This is truly absurd. If you have a plugin setup with the parameters that you want to control via 'Configure' and then save the preset, the parameters are ALL GONE!
What are you guys at Ableton smoking!??!?! I save a preset because I want to SAVE it how it is at that time!
The mind boggles...
