MIDI triggering only different notes, not same note
I'm using an external instrument to trigger a hardware-synth (SH2). When triggering the keyboard without midi I can trigger the same note repeatedly and get sound each time. But when playing from ableton/external keybed via MIDI it only triggers when a different note is played. Am I forgetting somet...

Finding MIDI-based .alc-files (clips) in browser
I have never grasped why we can't see the difference between a sample and a MIDI-based clip (.alc-file) in the browser. This is beyond my comprehension. Or is there some trick that I haven't been aware of? Having both types of clips in the same view is very strange to me. It should at least be possi...

Re: Create custom shortcuts in Live
Doesn't key mapping accomplish this? https://patches.zone/key-mapping-in-ableton-live-tutorial The original poster cited the existing key-mapping as a limitation. What's being discussed is more of an in-depth modification. Example: you can right-click on a midi or audio clip and 'crop clip,' howeve...

Re: STRIP SILENCE
Yes why not. Even some times recording is done on the wrong track and ends up in total silence. Getting rid of all silence would be great.

Re: Link playback heads in arrangment timeline and clip editor
Totally agree, should be faster to start from wherever inside a clip when editing.
Actually Im starting to feel ableton has lost some of its advantages on fast editing in the arrangement as well (fades etc makes mouse-work a bit cumbersome).

Re: keyboard shortcuts for collections
Totally agree. As a side-note having a dedicated browser-search-keyboard-command (from anywhere in the daw) would be awesome, and that it only showed folders that had the results, and preferably showed "all resupts" as standard. So you hit CMD+P for instance (since its not in use?) and the...

Re: Marking several midi-clips: marking and editing notes fromi
Specific (and typical) use case would be: You have a chord-section on different MIDI-tracks, and you want to transpose all notes at the same time. You need to change some notes on several MIDI-tracks, so you mark notes from several tracks at once. As far as I know I can only SEE notes from several t...

Re: Allow More Favorite "Collections"
Agree. Another feature I would love is to sort all featured from one color for instance as a "super-favorite"-list, where all go-to plugins reside (EQ's, compressors) Even having some real estate in the browser with these super-facorites "always open" would be nice; some plugins ...

LIke posts in forum (instead of making +1 or commenting)
Not LIve-related, but to make the forum a bit more efficient liking posts / other emoticons would be nice. Would make the forum a bit easier to read, and especially would make it easier for Ableton to find out what feature-requests are more popular. For instance I dont want to comment on a suggested...

Re: FX processing on clip level (instead of track level)
I could see some kind of tick-off-box-view-mode (cmd+e+f) when marking an effect, then tick of/on in each clips in arrangement og session-view. Sounds like a bit of a hassle to implement without issues..

Piano-roll key-command for switching sound on and off
You know that little headphone-symbol you sometimes want on and other times off.
Would be nice with a key-command to toggle it. Sometimes I need sound for only a few notes and toggling with mouse is a bit slow...
No biggie, but hey maybe its not such a big programming-task to get done!?

MIDI-clips: marking and EDITING notes from several tracks
This feature is one of the ones I wanted for ableton, to be able to move several notes from different midi-clips at the same time. The way it is now I have to mark which clip I want to move notes from, and i only see the motes from the other clip. This is better than before, but still misses the hug...

Re: I feel live lost a bit of its magic with new features
I understand it can be a technical challenge, the thing is just that arranging is slower for me now than before. Maybe I just have to get used to it. Live is starting to look more like logic and cubase; the main asset of Live is (to me at least) the quick workflow.

I feel live lost a bit of its magic with new features
Im talking about the new features in arrangement_view. One of the reasons I love live is its simplicity, meaning how fast it can be to use. Arranging is much slower for me now after live 10. If Ableton could make it a possibility with a shortcut for toggling advanced automation/arrangement and the f...

Re: "Upgrade" to Live 10, - reinstall plugins etc.?
Unfortunately it wasn't like that for me. Looks like I have to install everything again. Shouldn't have to at all. Your packs should all be on your drive, you may need to check/set the path in the new Live but it should have carried over your settings. Actually you're right, my old packs seems to b...
