Remote feature in Reason 3 supports mappings for controllers with no LCD feedback and the controls of your edirols and m-audios will be dynamically updated each time you choose a device. But, as above post says, you won't really know what are the current assignments due to lack of LCDs. That is unle...

Well, you all know I definitely want it in :) Here's the original quote from Robert: I do not know yet which surfaces in which order we will support and when. Each of them needs some individual work to be done and there are quite a lot of different models out there. I would suggest you create a wish...

I use the pads in korg's microkontrol, which work quite well for me. You can also take a look at m-audio's trigger finger for bigger pads (more MPC-like). I also use battery 2 + NI Electronic drums 1 and 2. They're the best you can buy for electronic sounds. The latency will definitely depend on you...

Live 5: how is MIDI VST support implemented?

I see midi VST (Like NI vokator, orange vocoder, antares kantos and so on...) are now -at last - supported in Live 5. How does it work? Is it easy to set up?

Also: are midi-only vsts (like tobybear stuff) supported?

cheers.

Don't give up, it could be just the power source or the CPU fan. Both would have very cheap replacement.

Robert, how about supporting Korg hardware in the future too? (i.e. Microkontrol and Kontrol49). Korg's native mode works very similar to mackie control protocol, and we'd get LCD feedback too.

I have also voted for this recently at the general forum. There is a small (but increasing and enthusiast) comunity of microkontrol/kontrol49 that 'has seen the ligth' with Native Mode support in Reason 3. We shurely want this in Live too.

cheers.

About the tempo via Microkontrol, you just have to set up Live to recieve external clock source (look in the manual) from the Microkontrol and that's just about it. You can also tap tempo from Mk's pads and Live will follow!

Another vote for Korg's Native Mode! Please, please Ableton...! Native Mode is not so different from Mackie Control protocol... and we'll also get LCD parameter feedback :) If more people are interested in this I can hand some tech pdfs with Native Mode details to the abes...

cheers.

Lazlo, don't return your laptop. Look in google for speedswitch XP. It's what every centrino user needs to control the CPU thottle.

I love mine, you won't be dissapointed if you don't mind minikeys (they work great for my playing). With reason it works :o The price is too good to let it go. Please join the yahoogroup if you have any questions:
