Re: Solo by default when clicking on tracks
There is an option for this already, check the manual.
That's how I have it.

per-project pitch and scale control
Enables key and scale control from one place, automatable. White key-players would all subscribe. Great functionality for on-the fly experimentations with macro-control variations. Would add infinite variety to ableton-made songs long-term. Technically, these midi effects could be added to the maste...

Varicolour
As an option, I would love to see every new clip on a track to be in a new colour per that track (which sounds like a good alternative, too). No point having two different clips orange on the same track unless all track is orange. Machine could see to that.

Re: Varispeed
I think we should vote. What about all those folks that do have varispeed from waves and stuff. Lots of messing around with old projects to get this replaced.

Simple audio edits within clip
It is somehow no fun to copy a clip to the arrangement to slice it up and do some manual mash, double some slice and bounce it back to audio and into the session in new form. I feel this process does not belong in the arrangement inherently. some basic actions could be done in session just as they a...

+1
and VST3>VST2 just in case as well. should vst3 version should be messed up, if there is vst2, why not use that automatically, maybe with a pop-up screen.

Re: Multi tab projects
As long as OP doesnt' expect transitions between tabs to be seamless, computer power is not concern. You can open multiple instances of ableton, so the simplest thing would be to enable drag and drop between windows.

Re: Back to arrangement per track also in Session
Also, since the placeholder for single track back to arrangement button is already there, this same button could change, while track in arrangement, colour function to track's clip stop so you don't have to switch back and forth.

reference pitch tone next to metronome
Synths can be tuned differently, so you can't always rely on the notes in the piano roll. It would be good to have a reference sine wave set by a note or frequency.
I know you can always add an instance of analog and check but so could you with drums instead of a metronome.

Paste loop to fill time span
Select some time on a track in arrangement mode and paste a looped clip of any lenght and it fills this time. You don't have to zoom in and drag right, zoom out and drag right again or ctrl+DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD :D Select a clip in arrangement mode and the loop you paste onto it fills t...

Re: Activating/Deactivating all devices of a track at once.
I think I remember reading that deactivating a group does not stop devices from running internally. You can no longer hear them, but they continue to run in the background. I think I tested this some time ago without success. If there is no solution for this, I can live with this minor problem. I w...

Back to arrangement per track also in Session
Too many steps to switch to arrangement and locate the track horizontally and back.
If track expanded enough in session, plenty of room for a dedicated button next to track's clip stop.

Re: Ability to change arrangements in a single project.
With meta-clips plus legato as an option, you could alternate on the fly live for an extra layer of creativity :) This could also have its dedicated meta-arrangement batch... I don't know the architecture of FL but with live, if you want to experiment with sound and melody variations, rack snapshots...

Mixer panel in track colour in session mode
Will look more like a christmas tree but you won't have to double check by looking all the way up to tell which track you are about to solo.
