Re: Tomorrow I'm gonna kill myself...
Wait, I have a solution for you: next time post your topic header on some Weight Lifting forum. You'll find that they don't give a shit what you have to say over there either. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=342770 Rule of thumb on humor: if no one's laughing, it probably wasn't funny. ...

Re: ClyphX – Utility script for Live 8 (and Live 7 too)
SLamfield, Are you firing clips in the same scene when you keep focus on the one playing already? I think the habit I overlooked is that I'm often staggering my clips to the next scene, so that I can play a master scene and if the stop buttons have been removed I won't interrupt the previous clips. ...

Re: Lion Compatibility so far?
What I really fantasize about is ableton or apple for that matter, parsing and mining their crash and log-in data, and publishing the known incompatibilities. What are all these crashes good for anyways? Why keep the results private? Take a tally of commonalities between people's crashes, report the...

Re: ClyphX – Utility script for Live 8 (and Live 7 too)
Thanks for your reply. I would love to think I over looked something so I will make that change when I'm in the studio and see if it works. Unfortunately, I suspect it's a question of wanting a cake and eating it too: when a clip is running, the auto select option is nice because you can assign a tr...

Hey Tarekith,
If you're out there, how does this design compare to the way you constructed your DJ Kills?

Re: What is a free plugin similar to Glitch but for Mac?
Thanks sexface, that's actually a very elegant solution, and a very economical explanation. I used to have a rack on a submix that I'd use with a joystick sweep over a number of chains, but I like the randomization of this idea more. Plus, you don't have to move through other effects on the chain to...

Re: What is a free plugin similar to Glitch but for Mac?
sexface, Mr. Bill takes 10 minutes just to set up his tracks, he starts to create an audio rack in an instrument rack then back tracks, and then I pull a nail out of the wall and hammer it into my face. If you're out there, love ya Bill and it sounds great! But any chance someone could summarize the...

Re: Song Map tool for better trackwriting!
I really like this. Much better than empirically telling people "the build up goes here" "the breakdown goes here" "it needs to be THIS amount of time. " Alternatively you could use colors in session mode as your arrangement shorthand-not for "all synths in my sets...

Re: Metre or Time Signature changes that change Playback?
Thanks again for chiming in. So you'll find that I use sequencing along with my tracks only optionally, and in most cases, as you point out, divisions of the beat will not change the playback. However, it will change the retriggering of an arpeggiator, for example, although I've been too busy to wor...

Martijn,
Thanks for posting the new tutorials. Favorited and thumbed up all three. The grooves are definitely going in my template set!

Re: Metre or Time Signature changes that change Playback?
3dot, thanks plenty for getting back to me. Interesting that bpm stays in 1/4 notes in every case. If you don't mind me asking, what benefit do you gain from meddling with time signatures in Clyphx; what do you like to do with them? In a performance setting, as you pointed out, I get little utility ...

Bump. Again, the Tips and Tricks forum would have been kinder to this question, but I don't like to flood that forum with questions; to me it should be about tricks.

Re: Essential Mixing Tips for WIDENING the mix
What if you took a M/S approach rather than spreading the L/R further? Also, what are you getting from the saturator and compressor that's giving you a universal response to whatever track you're throwing at it? Or were these choices just subjective to what you liked and what typically works for you...
