Re: Ableton 10 is obsolet!
Well, I am just hoping Ableton will be closely monitoring suggestions posted on Ableton Centercode and react accordingly. What I really mean is that I hope the development for new features in Live has not stopped by the time the new version has been announced. I do hope that common sense prevails an...

Re: Is anyone here still rocking vinyl ?
So you are saying that vinyl is more "fun" than using a digital turntable or CDJ. How exactly or is it just because it's fun to watch it spin :) ? Yeah, I meant the limiting factor exactly is the whole point, a bit more private attitude to music. You take a record in your hands and it fee...

The kind of fun you get playing vinyl records compared to digital, whatever bitrate.

Re: Is anyone here still rocking vinyl ?
On both the consumer and pro audio end, I can report that turntables sell like hotcakes. It also gives me a chuckle that "Vinyl-only DJ set" is something you'll see on flyers these days. Whats wrong 128kbps Youtube rips played from a USB stick? You don't seem to get the point. Andrejs

Re: Is anyone here still rocking vinyl ?
I DJ exclusively from vinyl these days and regularly expand my collection. There's a lot to love about the process.

And if you click on a loop's bracer and then use File -> Export?

Early 2011 Mac Book Pro 15" user here with no issues for all these years. Changed cooler once and replaced the internal HDD with 500 GB SDD and it's like a new machine.

Re: Will Live 10 be able to use 32 bit plugins?
The idea is to find replacements and move on. Either that, or keep an old, old machine around until it fall apart (synth owner) and you can start repair it. There is a cost maintaining 32bit. How much varies of course. I am not talking about full support for 32 bit plugs, but rather about a native ...

Re: Will Live 10 be able to use 32 bit plugins?
Some 32 bit plugins are irreplaceable, for example TC Electronic plugs from Konnekt series (Fabrik C, Fabrik R) – they use TC Electronic hardware, but only come in 32 bit versions. They produce stunning quality effects.login wrote:Kill 32bits already, soon OS won't support it, time to let it go.

Playing from any position when previewing samples in Browser
Please vote for this feature: When previewing samples in Live browser, it's currently not possible to play from any position within the sample, Live only allows playing from the beginning of the sample. I would assume clicking on any part of the waveform could make Ableton previewing from a particul...

Re: How's the CPU efficiency in Live 10?
Suppose there's a heavy effect on a particular track. Why can't Live utilise ALL cores to process this effect if it detects there's less work for other cores at that moment? Eg why should all other 3 cores be stuck while a single core is trying to complete a CPU-intensive operation? I simply assume...

Re: How's the CPU efficiency in Live 10?
I have an Intel Core i7 processor with 4 cores, and when rendering in Live 9 the CPU usage seems to never be at max.... It actually feels like Live is using a single core only! There is no reason to assume Live can forego that a track is handled on one core and not two or three. This likely means t...

Re: How's the CPU efficiency in Live 10?
I;ll try that out at some point, when I'm not making noises. But if that's where the CPU increase has hidden then they shouldn't have bothered spending their dev time there. When I press render that's my time to have a piss and go and make a cup of tea. I'm not even in the room when the render happ...
