How about a difference in rendering time of a larger multi-track project between Live 9 and Live 10?

Re: 10 is announced!
+1 for MPE shock. The seaboard RISE has tons of Max support, but trying to get it to halfway work in a M4L patch with workarounds was ultimately a most frustrating and disappointing experience. A bit sad that MPE support isn't included in Live 10.0 If Max is now so well built into Live couldn't MPE...

Re: 10 is announced!
I wonder if rendering to disk performance has been improved in Live 10. I couldn't find anything about it in the release notes. Maybe someone could render a bigger project with many tracks/effects and compare Live 9 and Live 10 in this regard?

Andy,
The Drop is my go to filter effect for production.

Re: 10 is announced!
A lot of those workflow improvements will be really useful for me and the way I work. Slip editing in particular, and also that automation view might stop me fucking up my automation every 10 minutes! Those will fix lots of little issues for me. I absolutely and wholeheartedly agree! A possibility ...

Yes, it can happen. What is your audio buffer size?

Re: I really hate the way Ableton handles file management!
Hi, Another thing that drives me nuts is that when re-naming audio files in Ableton (on the audio section itself) it doesnt actually rename the file on the hard drive. Do other DAW's work like Ableton in their file management? You are actually renaming a clip in the audio section, not the file name....

Re: Does a reliable audio interface really exist?
I would like to point out a cheap and very reliable alternative that works across firewire, although admittedly discontinued: ESI Quatafire 610 . They are just rock solid, both on PCs and Macs (with no drivers on a Mac). I've been using the one for live performances for over 10 years. Once in a whil...

Re: auto update to 9.6 broke my setup - F*****CK - #URGENT
I presume you are using a Mac. Because for the Mac version of Live, I was always wondering why custom MIDI Remote Scripts can't be placed in a custom location, for example, "/Users/selffi/Library/Application Support/Ableton/MIDI Remote Scripts" folder? So that new installations don't overw...

Re: Need help!
Using a VM is doomed to fail most likely unless you use a really powerful machine, i e not even a quad-core. I have a different real world experience. However, I am not running Live in the VM, but an old (though great) software called Buzz Tracker. It is running in Windows XP guest under Mac OS X M...

Re: rendering size limitation
Very weird, never seen that before. I'd definitely contact support@ableton.com and see what they say. I did, and they said that Live does not support "RF64Format" WAV files (???) which appear to be larger than 2 GB, and that this is internal Live limitation and that my next best thing to ...

Yeah, I was thinking it might be corrupted too. If you want to send it to me, I have some tools that might be able to save it. Just drop me a PM if you're interested. I wonder to whom this message was addressed? :-) Tarekith, you are very nice and generous person. From all posts on this forum it's ...

Re: 2 GB size limit in 64-bit version of Live?
I saw this message the other day. I don't think that it was size related. I was resampling some stuff from midi to audio, like you do, in one version of live and then I tried to drag the sample into another open copy of live to start a new arrangement. It didn't allow me to do it because of that ve...
