Re: Something New on the Horizon?

Re the picture: This is really disappointing! I'm not saying it's useless to handle audio clips on Push. Far from it! But if this is the only change after, what, 3 years?! It's just embarrasing. One could argue that this should have been Push all along. All this will do is for very little benefit, ...

Re: Using Push 1 and 2 together

Probably the same as before. As in, you could, but it was fraught with issues and did not double the Push functionality. I have not seen anything in the release notes that would indicate otherwise. It's definetely somthing they should do though to entice (rich) Push 1 users to buy Push 2 in addition.

Re: Live 9.5

Dropping 9.3 and 9.4 makes perfectly sense to me : new instruments introducing new workflow. And changes to the look. This makes sense? 8O For me 3 and 4 were always perfectly good numbers. I had no idea 5 was somehow special ;-) And I start being happy when the warping comes to Sampler, you know t...

Re: Macrobat nk Receiver - can only use one macro?

works on all 8 here, not sure what your problem is though. One thing I found is that I always have to somehow initialize the rack for it to take over the control. Which I usually do by just moving the rack within my chain once. That seems to always do it and once it has done this once it will always...

Re: Push 2 coming soon?

All official: https://www.ableton.com/en/push/ https://www.ableton.com/en/live/new-in-9-5/ So from my reading the new filters come to Sampler too (good) but warping doesn't?! YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! :x And I see they continue to shove M4L down our throats  M4L isn't going anywhere Tom, if...

Re: Push 2 coming soon?

No, the updates are to do with simpler. I assume sampler with have the same improvements. Makes sense But I wouldn't count on them improving Sampler as well. Sampler still doesn't have mappable loop controls while Simpler always had them for example. But here is to hoping for a Looper/Sampler hybri...

Re: Push 2 coming soon?

Push 2.5143 Actually a lot of cool things announced tonight, can't talk about it til tomorrow though. But we already know all of what's in Live 9.5, the free update. We all know all of the features already. So it's totally fine for you to just talk about it. For instance, the new browser - discuss!...

roll eyes non-withstanding, I have still no idea what your issue with Live really is. What is it that it is lacking, what would you like to do that it can't do?

Re: Push 2 coming soon?

Big meh and that they ask even 200€ more than MK1 is just stupid. Well at least it should leave the prices for Push MK1 on Ebay in a decent range. I think I'm gonna sell mine soon. Hope it will still fetch around 400€ when I throw in all the NativeKontrol scripts I have for it. It's was a nice idea,...

Re: Look-ahead functionality in Looper

If you "save link as" to save the file ang-lookahead-looper.adg you can just drag that into Live. Turns out that .adg files are XML. How nice and hackable. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Ableton MajorVersion="4" MinorVersion="9.0_305" Schem...

Re: Look-ahead functionality in Looper

Thanks, but the link in the attachment leads to a page with lots of numbers and nothing else :? But actually I have solved it now perhaps a bit differently than your solution, but your tip with having a straight second chain and the output mode set to never put me on a good path 8) Here is what I di...

Re: Look-ahead functionality in Looper

you can sort of do this already, but Looper is a fatally flawed device so I tend not to use it. But here's how you set up a "lookahead" looper using Live's Looper put looper on a channel set its output selector to "never" map the feedback control to a macro called "loop ON&...
