Re: Crashes... It's such a shame.
more crashes happen for me when using collect all and save. From memory i think i have never had a freeze with just save in version 8 best J :) I'm wouldn't say it's a constant repeatable crash (thankfully) but now that I've gotten into the habit of CMD+S every few minutes (something I got VERY fam...

Re: Crashes... It's such a shame.
sorry to spam here but, in order to be fair with ableton too, I have to add: NO crashed here with 8.1.1, max for live and max 5.1.3 ! NO crash during 4hours sessions... with VST, with a big interface patch with around 100 live.remote~ , JS etc... I don't think it's spam at all. You're just letting ...

Re: Crashes... It's such a shame.
Just reinstalled 7 and I might be wrong but it sure does seem more snappy. Not nearly as processor intensive with the same (or at least very similar) template loaded up. I'll give it a few days back at 7 and see how I get along. Spent the last week building and mapping custom VST/AU devices and they...

Re: Crashes... It's such a shame.
Yes that is simple.
Still a shame that it's even necessary but it is indeed a solution.

Crashes... It's such a shame.
I'm generally more of a Pro Tools and Logic user and mainly use Live for 'live with band' work (a few backing tracks now and then and a really efficient way to organize synths we use on stage etc) and then dabble in Live as an effect in the studio. For the last few weeks though I've been using it da...

Cheers GB.
I was starting to wonder if I needed something like Bomes Translator?
I'll check that link out now.

Re: Channel Focus? (Midi Mapping)
Thanks for that. But I've already looked through all of that. The Instant Mapping for my keyboard (Ozonic) defaults to volume for channels 1-8 and the eight knobs are mapped to the device parameters. For instance, I would like to remap the knobs to 'focused' channels sends. The problem is once I rem...

Channel Focus? (Midi Mapping)
Hi guys, Probably a simple answer to this... It's very easy to map individual parameters in Ableton but it seems I can only get one knob/fader per parameter happening ie. one knob for send 1 channel 1, another knob for send 1 channel 2 etc. I know I can create Racks for make-shift Channel Strips etc...

Re: Recording Midi Ouput via Beat Repeat/Livecut?
After an audio effect, indeed, you only deal with audio. No offense, but something is not clear in your mind, or you don't explain it well. I'd be happy to help but I can't. Hahaha... No offense taken! But everything is indeed clear in my mind! What I really need, as 11olsen pointed out, ...

Re: Recording Midi Ouput via Beat Repeat/Livecut?
Sorry, could you explain what you mean by the "midiness" ? What is your goal? Hahaha, Sorry. :D Midiness is just a stupid way of saying random midi-output. Basically I wanted to record the midi output (as opposed to the audio output) of individual drum channels. That way I could edit out ...

Re: Recording Midi Ouput via Beat Repeat/Livecut?
I don't understand. Beatrepeat and livecut are audio effects, they don't output MIDI. Yeah I know... And I'm sure I'm way off base here but for some reason I seem to remember some way to capture the random midiness of it all. Maybe it was just some wacky Arpeggiator set-up or something? Oh well. Ch...

Recording Midi Ouput via Beat Repeat/Livecut?
Hi guys, I know I can record the midi output of, say, the Arpeggiator but is it possible to capture the midi coming off of plugs like Beat Repeat and Livecut? I could have sworn I read about this a year or two ago but my searches didn't bring anything up. Maybe not but thought I'd ask... Cheers, R.
