Line input 1 on the front is great for guitar. I always ran my Voyager into line inputs on the back. Never had an issue with levels. I just think it's better practice to have your synth on full then control the level of the in's on the front... Are the back ones unbalaned and balanced? No I won't t...

No you can't plug a guitar into an XLR! I think as said before you might want to look up some recording basics before you blow 1k on a ff800

all the preamps on the front take line or XLR.. all 4 of them.. then there is a DI input which takes guitar or W/E..

Coversion shouldn't make files hotter.. dithering can, but that's only if your changing the bit rate from 16 downwards.. nothing commercially available is lower than 16bit... I think

This kind of thing worries me too.. I've been using Zimbalam to distribute and I checked they use the LAME encoder which is the best sounding in my opinion..

I think the box actually comes with a tiny woman who can sing on your tunes for you and make them better without having to do anything or even consider writing a song or finding a singer... hope this helps
