I have a question for any SATA boffins though... The Seagate drive's SATA interface is 3.0Gigabit/s, while my (and I'd imagine yours, being the model just before mine) MBP's SATA bus speed is 1.5Gigabit/s. you definitely don't wanna get a new drive with an inbuilt shock sensor... your Mac already has one, and the two systems can conflict and cause system crashes...
