Re: Midi mapping Record Enable not obeying Exclusive preference

I can confirm that this has been a serious problem since Live 4 and have had countless problems onstage. Would love to see this corrected Abes! Thank you.

It only works if the session you are working on has the exact number and order of BLANK channels that matches the 'dragged-in' session. In other words, if your dragged-in session has 6 audio channels and 5 midi channels, in that order, than you need to have the new session have 6 blank audio and 5 b...

Can I get a BUMP BUMP?

I want to be able to fire dummy clips and program change clips from the very bottom (or very top) of the screen and not be pulled away from the audio clips I'm playing.

Think of the awesomeness. Do it now.

I have to say I'm pretty surprised to hear anyone putting down 'Modern Guilt.' To my ears he has reinvigorated a classic early 70's psychedelic rock sound and made it leaner and more song-oriented than his other psychedelic wanderings. 'Chemtrails' alone is one of the hottest tracks of the year. And...

Great tip Forge...I had no idea of that trick. I would still like to see this be a standard feature: an undisturbed VSTi track with a new audio track next to it when you choose 'flatten.' I mean, why would ever really want to get rid of a VSTi instrument with all those midi notes after all that work?

+1! Simple and brilliant.

But being that not a single one of my impassioned pleas has ever been implemented I probably shouldn't curse your idea with my comment. Sorry. ;-)

Yep...I'm aware of these 'workarounds,' but it seems to me the ability to quickly crop a midi sequence is a de facto feature in most DAWs...Live let's you do it with Audio Clips...why not MIDI? There are times when I am recording a midi part and I don't 'nail it' until the 30th measure or whatever.....

I am referring to session view clips...unless I've missed something there is no quick way to crop the 'fat' from a midi sequence. Anyone?

'Select On Launch' could be clip specific!

Each clip should have a menu item (in the Launch screen maybe) that turns off 'Select On Launch,' but just for that clip.

That way, dummy clips and program change clips could be placed anywhere in Session View and not make the screen jump down to them...
