Too late for the 25% discount, but you do not have to buy direct from Ableton. There are many online dealers who can sell you upgrades. Upgrades can also be purchased in person in actual stores, if any exist in Russia (or any country you can easily travel to).
Good luck.

Re: Arturia Keylab Mkii and Ableton device mapping
Whether the knobs map to the mixer or to rack macros is up to the script provided by Arturia. If that script is edited it will only affect the DAW mode, not the mode controlling the Arturia synths. As to "why pan? who needs this?", well everyone doing actual mixing!!! Most controllers by d...

Re: Seamless Scene Changing?
I do not think it is possible to do what you want. Changing the scene will send any program changes in the clips. Like all MIDI, it's up to the receiving device (your software instruments) to decide what to do with held notes. Even in hardware synths, there are some synths that will keep the origina...

Re: Nektar and Ableton
I'm pretty sure it is Ableton that don't allow Nektar "in" to allow the deeper integration seen in other daws. This is what Nektar support has told me but hinted there were some "possibilities" on the horizon. The MCU functionality added to recent Nektar products like Pacer and ...

Re: Ableton Live and different Temperaments
There are many hardware and software instruments that support different tunings. As always with MIDI, it's the receiving device that is most important.
Read here about Scala. It includes an incomplete list of instruments.

Re: same peak level, different loudness
It's the average level that indicates how loud a sound is, not the peak. More compressed sounds will sound louder than uncompressed sounds, for example.

Re: Metronome sync problem
No, the problem IS latency. You hear the metronome and play...I'll guess you are using direct monitoring..but by the time the signal gets into Live it's late. That's latency.

Re: Tonal Balance
That's what is commonly called a "matching EQ" application. There are self-contained EQ plugins (like Match EQ in Logic) that can match the frequency spectrum balance of a reference recording, the Izotope plugin is a bit different since it controls another EQ plugin. I've also used a stand...

Re: I'm looking to survey DAW users to understand usage and demographics
Interested in seeing how the percentages change as time goes on, but I was surprised to see that as of today Reaper was the most used DAW (and FL the second!), and how few use Rewire or Link.

Re: Massive X - Massive F (Up)?
those snapshot things are apparently for launching different performers using a midi keyboard OK, I've used that sort of feature in Alchemy before. You sacrifice one octave of keys, so not too useful unless you have at least 61, and can call up snapshots in real time. I bet nobody could figure that...

Re: Implement Velocity Sensitivity the correct way
If Simpler indeed does this (never tried it), that's up to Simpler, not Live. I know that Sampler, Analog and Operator (which I do use) don't do that. Velocity is always interpreted by the receiving device. Most devices of course, interpret it the way the OP asked...max velocity yields the same leve...

Re: Massive X - Massive F (Up)?
NI really dropped the ball on this one. Once they announced it wouldn't be ready on the original launch date, they should have waited until it was done rather than sell users an unfinished product. -- I discovered that the only controls that can be automated are the 16 macro knobs at the top. Those ...
