maybe I will keep my license, but currently I realized I need a stable workhorse for larger tracks (most of the "loops" do not have to be time stretched at all :-))... I would definately hang on to your Live licence. Live is a fantastic compositional environment and is advancing really qu...

So you recorded an album just using LIVE ? Interesting. I am using a lot of multitrack drum loops (seperated hats, kick etc) at home ( and believe me :-)) this is a pain in LIVE. Don't get me wrong, I like LIVE for the workflow, but after recording 24 tracks the #of Coffee breaks after moving some ...

For me working in the Lives's Arrange View was a total release after using Sonars Track view for our last album. Way quicker and more intuitive without bloat imho. Off the top of my head, in Sonar you get 2 tracks per vsti which is cumbersome, and cant record audio without stopping the audio steam a...

Hold down the CNTRL key and drag the goove from BFD into Live's Session or Arrange view.

From there you can arrange as per normal

I too am on PC (Centrino) and am having a total blast with Live 5. I guess I represent the type of new Live user that is flocking to Live from traditional DAWs for composition. For me it has taken they way I used to compose on Sonar to a completely different level, by using the Session View in conju...

Trackteam Tacklebox Update Heads up

Hi all, Just a heads up that Trackteam have released their Tacklebox 1.5 update for Live 5. I've just downloaded it (for US$12 to upgrade from 1.0) and let me tell you - they have done a great job. Tons of alc files and device presets there with all manner of creative beeps and squelchs for all tast...

Hi Rob I have exactly the same issue with Jamstix in Live 5. Works brilliantly if wrapped up in eXT, but if put straight into a Live track the midi out doesn't work properly ie you can see the Jamstix Midi out on other midi tracks but only part of the Jamstix midi out is there (most notes simply mis...

I have all three and I recommend them. Also Trakteam are about to release an update which will take advantage of Live 5's new clip/instrument/effect groupings (alc files) which will be fantastic.

Heres a small one

If you are buried in the broswer (say 4-5 levels deep whilst auditioning loops or presets), you can double click the corresponding File Browser button and all the open folders will close and the browser will collapse to its root directory - saves heaps of time!
